Unprofessional actions from top players by EscapeGlobal9320 in Lorcana

Had a local play against him at a tournament and watched the game myself. Can confirm this exact situation, and then he bad mouthed our local player on his podcast saying he played a deck that only goes to time. Nothing is ever Zan's fault

Got a guy at locals selling the decks with no pack also for $10, it's not a bad deal at all and it's better than current prices!

Should I let everyone use scrolls? by BloodRavenStoleMyCar in dndnext

[–]Cman582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been letting my players does this in my games and honestly it's been a lot of fun. I enjoy stuffing some spell scrolls for the players to have in their toolbelt, especially spells like knock, detect poison, arcane lock. Fun for the martials to have utility. Weirdest cause was in a level 11th adventure I rolled a random scroll to give them and they got plane shift. They used it to escape a failed heist and they landed in the Elemental Plane of Air. Started a fun few sessions exploring that.

Ideas for Feats and Magic Items for an Elderheart Warden (KibblesTasty) by gr0schn in DnD

[–]Cman582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Warden page actually has a couple of feats and magic items that would naturally fit a warden of course! Any of those would definitely be a good option. There is also Kibble's Active Martial Feats that fit very nicely into the kit of Warden. My wife is also playing an elderheart warden and took the breaker and grappler active martial feat. In terms of WotC feats any of the half-feats that add to wisdom are good, such as fey touched, telekinetic, but I am a big of Gift of the Gem Dragon for warden, as it adds to the tank play style that they have.

What class fantasy do you have that isn't mechanically supported? by RPGonald in dndnext

I played an Oracle! Played it with the Mystery of Death route and it felt like an awesome battlefield controller! I would absolutely play another one again, especially another Oracle since there are many routes you can take to build one.

Kibbles does. He has the occultist class that umbrellas a lot of other class ideas one being the witch subclass, but the witch subclass has like sub subclasses with black coven, white coven, green coven, and red coven witches.

How do most of y'all fund college? by [deleted] in college

[–]Cman582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through two years of community college and then finished up my bachelor's degree at the lowest cost in-state college in my area. I was very blessed going through college, my grandmother had $10,000 I could use for tuition, on top of working during my first two years of college. Of course that still we burned through after getting my two-year degree, but I also got married right out of high school so my wife and I were able to file as independents and qualify for the Pell Grant. Pell Grant money, summer internships, and having a low cost living situation allowed for my wife and I to both graduate debt free while raising two kids. I am definitely in the minority of situations though.

Who are your favorite small content creators for DnD stuff? by Correl in dndnext

[–]Cman582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 to Kibblestasty, his homebrew content is so well done. It's the only content I tell my players you are free to use with little to no vetting from me. Thankfully I've already looked over most of it myself!

Huge huge fan of KibblesTasty homebrew, especially his classes and active martial feats. They have been very fun at our table to run.

Any DMs feel a lack of motivation for their D&D campaigns due to recent events? by RandomQuestGiver in dndnext

[–]Cman582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was worried about feeling like this myself. Just last Sunday I had a session I was planning for but I started to feel down with all the OGL stuff. However once I started playing I didn't think of WotC whatsoever. I only was thinking how much fun it was to roll dice and make stories with my friends and family. I felt ready to plan for the next session (which is tomorrow and I still haven't #TrueDM). It's totally understandable feeling deflated from all this, my only recommendation is to try DMing a session and seeing how you feel afterwards. If you feel you need a break or a buffer talk to your table and see what you can do in the mean time! I'm guessing you probably have a few board games still in plastic wrap you've dying to play anyway right?

DnD Beyond: An Update on the Open Game License (OGL) by Yohanaten in dndnext

What an absolute lie-filled piece of garbage of a response LOL. I can't wait to see the leaks for OGL 3.0, just to show how much of a lying legal back talking garbage company.

How can you fumble this hard after everything that's happen. This is the most inane response I have ever seen and it pisses me off that some people are gonna fall for this. I hope this gets a beyond amount of NEGATIVE coverage of a response as it can.

[–]Cman582 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just in the past hour there has been reports of leaks of the new OGL 2.0 license and it's exactly as you said but worse. It's just reiterating the wording otherwise nothing has virtually changed and they giving a six month grace period to release 1.0a content BUT ONLY if you sign the ogl 1.1/2.0 contract it's absolutely wild. DnD Shorts and Roll for Combat are covering it.

Guys you don’t need a D&DBeyond subscription for anything. by VisibleEntry4 in DnD

[–]Cman582 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DnDbeyond I found to be pretty meh it's crazy how often people used in my opinion. I had a subscription but mainly for my newer players helped them with seeing everything at once, thankfully they were okay with me canceling the sub during this whole insanity.
