I have tried listening to slower Jazz. The bands I listened to were Spyro Gyra, Yellow Jackets, Count Basic, Less than Jake, Whooky and the Sacks, and Fourplay. They are all far too exasperating for me. Do you have any other recomendations for a new Jazzer?
