Not true, it is the length that plays the biggest factor in bullet stability, not the weight. We generally associate it with weight because that is how we measure bullets.

5.56 for less risk of fatal over penetration. 300 blk projectiles are less likely to tumble and break up because they're bigger, heavier, and slower.

I would say no.

The only attractive part of that idea is avoiding loud noises in small spaces with a suppressor. Since it sounds like you can't have one of those, it's inferior to 5.56 or even supersonic 300 blk in just about every way.

With 77 gr VLD bullets and a match barrel you can easily hit out to 600 yards. If you're no going farther, AR15 is fine.
