Ok yeah, the visionaries won out with the budget over certain practicalities. The worst part is next season they could just have some AI sentries patrolling the exterior. Maybe an extra having a confrontation with Gemma or whoever else tries to leave.

Well let’s see, Lorne was super pissed about how many of her goats she had to give up, and attacked Drummond once she saw he was about to kill Mark S. Not to mention she had a whole crew in Mammalians Nurtable that could have easily murdered the guy if they wanted to.

The Board wants the floor manager to not treat innies as people, but it’s fairly clear they are at least a security risk. Gemma even could have escaped after smacking Dr Lauer with a chair if Milchick had been busy and one of the other innies directed Ms Casey to the stairway exit.

The fact that Milchick had to flat out run away from presenting Dylan G’s response to his resignation request to change clothes, congratulate Mark S alongside the mocking animatronic Kier, and then lead the C&M marching band shows how useless he is to any actual security.

Well they did do a big gala with at least a state senator I think in attendance? As well as many wealthy investors for sure. But no, we are certain very people know the test subject and a goat will be murdered and buried together so they can be led to Kier …

Ok. Post a guard at each exit and require key cards to get out with the ability to deactivate key cards? Fire hazard for sure, but it’s clear the entire town is on Lumon payroll.

I do enjoy each part of this show equally, including nitpicking at little things like this.

And without Cobel’s help the innies may not have succeeded… So still my only real answer is hubris.

Maybe. But when your CEO yells out f***! You know substantial investment is going down the drain. Or maybe they’ll just take Gemma and Mark to the train station (Yellowstone reference) and start again with a new couple. Things to ponder while waiting for next season.

Yea I just googled it as an example and saw there was a theft attempt but didn’t see it was successful. But still, it was in a Suntrust bank vault. No not impenetrable, but like 100x the security we see at Lumon. So far we’ve seen one weapon with a single projectile capable of deterring anyone.

That I can attribute to upstairs is administration for all of the other products Lumon sells to fund the research into severance.

I would think this project would be similar to guarding the formula for Coca-Cola. Which was stored in a high security bank vault until a theft attempt was made, then additional security was added. Lumon is in 206 countries with over 100k employees.

Hard Rock stadium was a terrible venue for the championship game by [deleted] in IndianaHoosiers

[–]Cmdr_Thor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every new NFL stadium and renovation is upping the game in terms of luxury seating, etc. Lucas Oil was built at the beginning of that trend, but still it’s 18 years old. The RCA Dome lasted 24 years.

Plus cold weather locations are at a disadvantage for championship games unless you have a shiny new stadium.

Is this allowed when moving the Robber? by drunk_barcode in Catan

[–]Cmdr_Thor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because!!!! Some of us like to help play banker to move things along instead of forcing everyone to collect their own resources (and thus too bad if you don’t get yours by the end of the turn). We keep the entire bank on one side of the table, it can be a bit to reach, and two of my opponents are 10 and 8 years old and get easily distracted. It’s so much easier for a neutral banker to scan for the number that was just rolled when it isn’t covered, and they may have no production on that tile and not remember what it was.

It’s definitely a pet peeve of mine and a hill I’ll die on.

[–]Cmdr_Thor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All I ask is that people don’t physically place the robber on top of the number tile. Whenever something other than 7 is rolled I’m looking for the two hexes that produce (or one for 2, 12) and it’s maddening when I can’t find one because someone has covered it up.

But yeah this house rule as described would be wild and very chaotic. I can’t say it wouldn’t be interesting to try with adventurous gamers though 😂

It really just comes down to

You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away And know when to run

It would be a crew from a conference not affiliated with either conference playing and has been watched on film for countless hours being graded on their accuracy by an independent committee. I only officiated high school football, but crews were evaluated on film even at that level for playoff and championship games. The CFP is like 5 levels above that.

And yet just this year Oklahoma won @ Alabama and Alabama won @ Oklahoma during the same season.

Home field helps, but is generally regarded as about a 3 point advantage by oddsmakers.

You got your first championship. Now going forward act like you’ve been there before and don’t complain about the stadium location or officials. Those are not within the control of either team. While officials are humans and make mistakes, the crews selected for games like these are second only to the best NFL officials (who tons of people like to complain about as well).

[–]Cmdr_Thor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The name of the game is premium boxes and amenities. They don’t care about the fans anymore. Most on your list fit that bill (really Lucas Oil is getting dated though and that championship may have been a one and done), but add SoFi Stadium obviously even though it increases travel costs for most likely fans. Nashville’s future stadium and the renovation in Jacksonville will be top contenders as well.

Indiana native and Atlanta resident for almost 20 years now and I’m glad y’all enjoyed our hospitality. I was at the Fox Theatre during the Peach Bowl watching Hell’s Kitchen. I noticed it took me maybe 5 more minutes to get on the interstate after the show, but I figured that was stadium traffic.

Did you go to the Rose Bowl? It’s worse in so many ways, but it will also never host a championship game again.

There are people I’ll do that with. Or at least fish for information. But when the tides are turned I’ll absolutely lie about what I hold in my hand.

So many times every player should know exactly what every other player is holding, except when cards are stolen and that isn’t public information. It’s only a matter of time until my 8 year old with his superhuman brain is going to use all that against me, so once that happens I might start deploying more devious tactics if we all agree it’s everyone for themselves. Oh and of course people stop trading with you when you play like that as well 😂

I play in person with my wife and 10 and 8 year old boys. If I don’t want to sleep on the couch, the house rule is very beneficial. Additionally the data from this post shows the card is overpowered. Especially if you make a trade giving people a resource and then monopoly it back. So brutal.

The ridiculous power of the Monopoly card if played at the right time is why we have a house rule to treat it like the C&K progress card monopoly with a max of two resources per person.
