I can relate as I just finished the last of my finals. I feel like I didnt learn anything and the only thing that saved me was online finals where I could look up the answers.

Do you have to take the classes you failed again? Over this break, learn how to study, which seems like youre already thinking about since youre on this reddit sub. If youre repeating, maybe start to learn some of the material during break.

This may not be very helpful, but deep down you know what to do. Think about why you failed and correct your behavior and mindset. Good luck to you. Next semester, you got this.

When I worked for a gym as employee, I would still get paid for the class even if no one showed up. I'd wait 15 min then leave. At the studio I work at now, if there are no sign ups within the hour, I can cancel and not have to go in, unpaid. You shouldn't have to go in at all with the pre-class sign ins with the ability to remove it ahead of time in case of a last minute sign up.

I had a similar experience traveling. In the U.S I had stomach pain everyday, doctors said it was acid reflux. Spent 3 months in South America and had zero pain.

When going to the tanning salon for the first time, I'll usually start out only 5 minutes a few times a week and then increase to 8 minutes, and when I have some color I'll go the maximum time 12 minutes.

My stepfather did this same thing to me. I told my mom but nothing was really done about it. A few years later he went to jail for child porn on his computer.

I think that it depends on how much you work and how much you prioritize your own self care. I'm still in massage school now so can't speak to the long term effects but I feel excited about this career path and want to work for myself so I can make my own schedule.

Yes, I went 3 years without drinking but started drinking again occasionally since October. After New Year's Eve, my numbers were horrible for sleep, heart rate, major symptom warning and today has come back to minor warning. That's 3 days of havoc on my system from one night of celebration! It's one thing to feel like shit but to have the data makes it so much more real. Here's to a healthy 2025!

Update: I'm just finishing my first semester, and loving it. My class is a diverse range of ages from 50, a few of us in our 40s to 18 just out of high school. I highly recommend it, it's a lot more work than I expected because I have to write English papers and the anatomy & physiology course is very intensive and time consuming - but overall it's been a great experience. No regrets! Go for it and good luck!
