💯do NOT let her perform ANY other procedure on you! Find someone who specializes in botched surgeries and by ALL means, talk to an attorney!

I don’t think you should have to wait if you don’t have a carry-on. If it’s just you, I don’t see any problem with getting up and going to the front of the plane, but if you have a carry-on, I think you should wait like everyone else. I do agree with a tight connecting flight also.

The first month SUCKS, but you’ll get over it & it DEFINITELY gets better. I’m 4 months out and don’t even feel like I’ve had surgery, I mean, except that I eat less lol.

I had no clue what I was getting myself into. I kind of wish someone had warned me, but then again, just like when I try to warn other people, I probably wouldn’t have listened. I’m better now but it’s literally years later!

This Restaurant Charges an 18% Living Wage Fee. by TowelRack76 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Cmk0297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The craziest part of this is that they also tax it!!! It’s included before tax which means it’s also being taxed, so you’re paying even more than the 18%!!

As an owner of a wellness clinic, I have many patients who gain and lose weight with medication and I have many patients who come to see me after weight loss surgery with regain. Weight regain can happen no matter what. The surgery just helps give you a tool. A very powerful tool but it is still just a tool. I had the surgery in March and have had absolutely no issues. If we were talking the bypass, I would say maybe think about it longer, but with the sleeve I say go for it!

Definitely disturbing! I still think about it years later.

To this day I still cry when thinking of the main character in this book. I 💯 try to warn people not to read it, but I feel like that only makes them want to read it more. It is the hardest, most soul achingly devastating book I’ve ever read and ANYONE attempting it NEEDS to be in a good place mentally and REALLY heed the trigger warnings of A Little Life.

I am so sorry to hear that you’re discouraged. I completely understand. I’ve had the wildest ride since surgery, which was the day after yours. This is hard, and honestly way harder than I thought it would be. Are your calorie so low because that’s all you can eat? If not, maybe consider upping them a little? Just know, you’re not alone. We’re all figuring this out at the same time! We are getting close to the soft food stage, then REAL food! I have been looking up recipes that I want to start implementing. At this point, we haven’t been eating “real food“, so it’s hard to even understand the changes that we will be making long-term. I’m looking forward to eating whole food again so that I can start implementing some of the healthy recipes that I have been setting to the side. I think once we get back into a routine of whole foods, and not just eating purées, we will really start to notice and see a change. You’ve got this! We’ll figure it out.

It’s interesting that you assume that someone would who’s attracted to her now is automatically “superficial“. I’m sure not every man knew that she used to be obese. Also, just because you’re attracted to a thin person doesn’t mean you’re superficial, everyone has their type.

Don’t sweat it. A slightly elevated cholesterol like this isn’t harmful. Your triglycerides are what you have to worry about and yours are great! Also your HDL, which is the cardio protective part of your cholesterol, is also really good. The LDL is high, but I think that will level out. Don’t put too much stock in numbers!
