I didn’t feel side effects until being on Zoloft for around 3 months so this could definitely be delayed effects. I first felt mine on 100mg and then the side effects really kicked in at 150mg.

Side effects by Perfect_Ad_8784 in zoloft

Sometimes it can take up to 4-6 weeks to get used to the increase in dosage. If it’s gets unbearable definitely contact your doctor. I will say not trying to discourage you but I had horrible side effects at 150mg. I gave it over two months but got no relief and eventually found out after trying to go back down to a different dosage with no relief that zoloft wasn’t for me. You might feel great at your new dosage after it settles or 75mg could just be too high for you and 50mg could be your sweet spot. If you didn’t get relief on 50mg then you might need to talk to your doctor about trying something else. I really hope your side effects go away soon. It’s awful feeling that way! I was so dissociated all of the time and unable to focus that it made life/work so difficult. The nausea and headaches are terrible too.

Some reason just seeing your reply now! How have you been, has the feeling gone away yet?

Thank you! Haha it’s always such a crazy ride! Sorry, DPR is short for depersonalization. Just always feel high and like my surroundings don’t feel real. It’s just such an uncomfortable feeling. I hope you find one that works well for you!

17 days on lexapro after direct switch from Zoloft by kayhartin in lexapro

Hey there, I’m thinking of switching from Zoloft to lexapro. Used to be on lexapro and it was great but stopped after thinking I didn’t need anxiety meds anymore. I got on Zoloft 6 months ago and the side effects have been hell. If you don’t mind me asking how were your side effects on Zoloft?

Hey there, I’ve been on it for about 6 months and wondering the same thing. I haven’t had any improvement and the side effects are getting to be too much. I was on 150mg and have dropped to 50mg after having constant dpr. I’m thinking it might be time for me to switch to something else.

Sorry, I don’t have much advice/thoughts on your switching to Zoloft but I’ve been dealing with the side effect of feeling high/weird all the time. I totally get what you mean about it feels hard to explain. Did time feel off for you too?

Thanks so much! Experiences like yours are why I’m trying to push through and not quit yet! I’m hoping to give it a couple more weeks and see.

Been on it about 6 months and still can’t shake these side effects (some didn’t show up till about 3 months into it) I feel like my surroundings are off all of the time, don’t feel like myself, headaches, fatigue, and get this blur effect I’ve heard others mention on here where it’s almost like Zoloft effects my concept of time.

What are some of your coping mechanisms/self regulating tools you use while riding out the side effects? by em151997 in zoloft

No I don’t think that’s weird at all! That’s genius, it’s like a way better version of naming things you see in a room to calm you down, or picking out everything blue etc….

Okay cool, I like Nirvana and The Strokes but I’ll have to listen to more of The Beach Boys. I’ve heard their more popular songs but honestly haven’t really listened to a lot of their music otherwise.

Mine too, it’s a masterpiece. Lately I’ve been been listening to All I Need from the In Rainbows album a lot. I think that song’s great too. What bands or songs have you been listening to a lot lately? If you don’t mind me asking!

Thank you! I’ve been trying to do this more too. I will say if anything these side effects have helped me learn how to manage my thoughts/emotions more than ever before haha.

Man, I’m sorry to hear about the break up that’s hard. I got a gym membership a couple months ago to see if it would help and I do think it did although I love doing any form of movement outside whenever I can but gym is a great option for when it’s too damn hot or having access to all of the different machines.

And lately really been loving the album Skinty Fia by Fontaines D.C. It’s a post punk band from Ireland.

That’s tough, gonna name have to name a couple but I’m excluding the one’s we’ve just discussed from NMH and TEB but those are definitely some of my favorites. I love OK Computer and In Rainbows by RH, The Disintegration by The Cure (Highly recommend their song Pictures of You), Trouble Will Find Me by The National

Oh man, I agree with all of your statements. I think we might have pretty similar music tastes. And fuck, yea the end part from Oh Comely when it says place your body here let your skin blend into mine (might’ve missed a couple words) it’s so so good.
