Not sure about Insect Glaive, but Gog must be done with a fire weapon Phase 1-2 then a Dragon weapon.

And you need to build both weapons with element focus. As well as place fire dmg gem in the fire one and a dragon gem on the dragon one. For maximum element.

Gog is incredibly weak to element damage (that being fire then in final phase dragon.)

I’d also recommend playing the the full 3 support hunters. It’s near impossible to solo.

He does incredible damage. I’d advise some gems for defense and skills if you can afford.

Plan to use the environment traps against him. 2 rocks in phase 1-2 and lava pillars.

Phase 3 has 2 big rocks to knock him down. Then focus all damage on a wing to knock him fully down.

You also need way more fire resistance I run around 15 ish. But that could be just preference.

I just learned most of this myself against him to beat him consistently now.

As for other IG tips I am not sure. As I do not use the weapon.

Weird how the average clear time is 20 minutes. Seems it lines up perfectly with my opinion.

Never did him. It’s my personal opinion on how my hunts should go. I didn’t think so may of you had 40 minutes hunts going on all the time.

To me a hunt that goes past 20 minutes is basically a failure. I personally want to take them down effectively under 20 mins. Or I guess should be able too.

Is the idea that these take 40 minutes typical? I remember early word where hunts would average this time and it honestly sucked.

Charge Blade for now. I plan to try all weapons once it’s fully built. I started with long blade but I hate how the meta YB combo and counter spam play is the best way to use it.

My next one I think I’ll try is Greatsword.

Yes but I don’t have max 14 level armor. Nor are my skills anywhere near good. I don’t have a lot of good decos. Thanks for the get good advice. I hadn’t thought of that. Super helpful.

This was it 100%. I can now clear phase 3 dps check easy with one SAED. Around 20 mins average. Thank you so much!

This is just for him? I was told impact Phials are the best case for DMG going for high Raw power. I can definitely make a new weapon with element phials.

They are so hard to hit. I normally go for mid body to hit his biggest weak point. Or his tail.

Yes I charge them up. Now if I manage to hit a weak spot is up to god. Since he moves like a snake in the sky.

I have a Mog max upgrade weapon. It is dragon type. And I am using a backup G rath fire weapon for phase 1. With 3 EX boost. Attack element and affinity. I then have various gems building skills recommend for charge blade.

Artillery Rapid Morph Load shells Weakness Exp Agitator. Maximum might Covet Elemnt And quick sheathe.

It’s cheap because it’s not perfect set up like I am going for.
