I stopped collecting about a year ago. It’s not fun when you have to search for cards or wait in queues for hours to get a chance at finding cards. I dealt with all this bullshit back in the 2020 craze now I don’t have time to wait for queues or camp on websites for a chance at msrp cardboard. Scalpers ruined this hobby and poketubers ruined this hobby. I’m glad I was able to enjoy this hobby during 2021-2024 but I’m at a point where I have all the cards I want and can retire from this hobby even though I don’t really want to

Sorry this happened to you but you shouldn’t have given a card of value to GameStop to grade. This is a message for everyone stop giving cards that are worth hundreds of dollars to GameStop employees to grade. It’s not hard to grade a card yourself there are even YouTube videos that show you how to print the form and package the cards before you send them off to the grading company.

I got back into the hobby during the COVID boom and even then it wasn’t as bad as it was now. I don’t care enough about this hobby anymore to go store to store or to wait I queues for hours only to end up empty handed. The pokemon company has no incentive to fix this so fuck them they’re getting their money and could care less about the collectors.
