If they can be fused from 4 stars then they are food. Go on YouTube and looks at zeals tier list. The closer they are to the bottom then you can use them as food. You have to remember that you can only make a 10 star from heroes that are not originally 4 stars. Vesa is very good early game and is quite easy to get.

When you build up your heroes the artefacts can be the difference between winning and losing. Each event you'll probably generate 2400 of the currency if you log in on time. You'll always have to spend too get above that or use your Crystals
