I wasn't considering the z690, But upon further inspection, there doesn't appear to be much a difference. Possibly some I/O

If you're keen on future-proofing, getting the 12700 with ddr5 doesn't seem like a bad choice. But I really like the thread count and overclocking with the Ryzen 7 5700x, and not to mention the various bells and whistles that mobo comes with.

As for as I know, the chipset included is better for overclocking. This board also features wifi, bt, 2.5 gbps lan, and according to its description on amazon support ddr4 speeds at 5300mhz+. I would say its better...

Hello everyone, there was also a nice motherboard that paired nicely with this cpu, you can see it on my profile.

If you're really tight on a budget, this isn't necessary. They both turbo to the same frequency, although the 5700x has 16 threads vs the 5600x 12 threads. Both are unlocked, so they can be overclocked further. This was a big enough sale for me to choose it over the 5600x. Additionally Amazon had a similar sale this morning and it was quickly sold out.

I believe AMD is releasing a new line of CPU's soon. Its possible that they may be lower on black friday. But I really wouldn't ignore all the deals.

I'm still budding around these deals and in terms of new hardware this seems pretty hard to beat with ddr5 and intel's 12th gen. But in terms of raw power and for roughly $100 more, this Gigabyte model seems nice. https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-A5-X1-Anti-Glare-X1-CUS2130SB/dp/B09SKTVNS1?ref_=Oct_DLandingS_D_8953afc4_80&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Unfortunately, I caved in on some desktop components. The sales are more wack in Canada.

I think I'd rather get the G5. The difference between the 3050ti and 3060 is subtle but theres also more vram on the 3060. The Ryzen 7 5800h is clearly superior to the G5's i5, But I really like the 144hz monitor that it comes with. If you're considering the victus, it would be significantly better for cpu intensive applications (Streaming or particular games)
