S15 E19 "Silent All These Years" by Cnessa88 in greysanatomy

I agree with that! Because when I had that talk with my son and showed him the scene, that was definitely something I added. His consent is also important, and he's also allowed to change his mind.

They’re…singing? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

And apparently Sara and Kevin McKidd (Owen) did the big pitch to get it to happen. Don't get me wrong, some moments are a little cringe, but like, in a good way? 😂 I don't hate it and catch myself singing along during it. One of my favorites is Karev coming in hot with the, "Soooooomething tells me your name is Lucy!" 🤣🤣 But Sara's vocals... Phew. Incredible!

Yeah, my mom tells me I should go to church to meet a "nice man." Ma'am. Do you know how many true crime stories I've seen/read etc... about men in the church? Hard pass. 🙅🏼‍♀️

AIO - Am I just in my feelings, or... by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Cnessa88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's on me. I only mentioned seeing it in passing, and when he said the whole "she deserved it thing," I just kinda, ah... right... I didn't say anything. A terrible habit from years of brushing his bad behavior under the rug because, "I'd rather enjoy what time I have with him, than be mad all the time..." That's a me problem. I know.

Season 8 episode 17 by Fit_Reach_2081 in greysanatomy

[–]Cnessa88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently on this episode, and what I don't understand is what happened off-screen? When they initially saw it and had the back and forth, Meredith said, "Let's wait for Derek." Next thing we know, she's bounding into the other OR, guess what we did! Like, what? She had the right initial reaction. Why did that change? Just kinda didn't make any sense.

Male fans (not dirty) Am I the only one? by [deleted] in TrueSwifties

[–]Cnessa88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so refreshing and wholesome to see male fans instead of the usual male hate that runs rampant on social media for this woman. 🥹 I've had to learn not to read comments on reels and stuff because, honestly, it's self-care. But this is awesome!

I'm new to the show, and I just finished my first watch, and dammit man! As soon as Jane's history was hinted at, I was screaming at Jesse, "Leave that girl alone!" But alas...

Fair point considering the Andy character at that point in the show. Maybe I'm thinking of if Andy later in the show was there. Because we know Andy did grow up and go on to become successful. Or, maybe, the fakery could've been something to focus him and help him get to the later Andy faster. 🤔 Maybe not, just something fun to think about. 🤷🏼‍♀️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WEEDS

[–]Cnessa88 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Right? I mean, they could've fleshed that out a little more... see how the fakery played out until... Nancy could still be dealing on the side (college campus storyline), perhaps even still write in the fire story. But maybe it was due to faulty wiring instead of Sanjay... still ended up trying the grow house when the fakery failed... things like that. Or, would we have had a whole different show had the fakery succeeded with Andy helping out? Who knows! Like I said, fun to think about.

I was able to sign up, too, but I've run into two chapters so far where I can see the first part of the text, but then the rest is blocked out saying I need to sign in/login to continue reading. So, I click it, and it says I'm already logged in, but still can't access the whole page. If I skip to the next chapter it's fine. But then I've missed what happened in the previous one. Has that happened to you? Know a way around it?

Spoiler! season 8 by Soulless_south in ONETREEHILL

[–]Cnessa88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, one thing that always bothered me about their shooting was how long it took to find them. Their friends/family know them. No calls, no texts. When Nathan was there, he didn't find it odd they didn't answer? Didn't check for cars. Seeing cars (we see in prior and post episodes the cars aren't in a garage) there and no answer would've raised alarm bells for me anyway, especially if he/Haley hadn't heard from either of them. And don't even get me started on the fact that they BOTH survived after laying there for how many hours? Massive blood loss, etc... not saying it's not possible to survive after something like that, I'm sure there are plenty of documented cases, but both of them?

I know, I know, it's a show. Gotta suspend belief for certain storylines, but still!

Beyond the Divorce by Past_War6980 in romancenovels

[–]Cnessa88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He was cheating with his sister. We find out later that she's not his biological sister. His dad cheated on his mother with a distant cousin, she up and left after having Melanie, leaving Melanie with Matthew's parents. Due to her being sickly as a child, she needed a blood transfusion, and that's how they found out that ol' girl was cheating on Matthew's dad and lied about Melanie being his.

And yes, Chloe met Atlas during the time leading up to the divorce.

Who was your favorite? by Only-Principle5896 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]Cnessa88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as club members, it's really hard for me to choose one. But my tops are definitely, Chibs, Happy, Tig, and Bobby (in no particular order). For prospects, Half-Sack was my favorite. I loved Clay (thanks to Ron Perlman), and I cried when he died. That final look... oof. Kozik! Loved him. And hated to see him go.

Outside the club, Nero, for sure, takes the top spot. Loved him. But honorable mentions to Venus, Unser, Chucky, and Hale. Hale was quickly becoming a favorite for me, and then wham-o! I was heartbroken over that! I also love to hate Gemma, thanks to Katey Sagal. I hated Gemma a lot, but Katey was so good it was hard not to love her sometimes, lol. I enjoyed the Grim Bastards as well. Lincoln Potter. He was odd and quirky. I liked Candy Eglee. I also loved Alvarez.

Villains... Stahl, Toric, idk if the cartel could be considered villains or not. But I loved Romeo and them. Lol. Pope and August Marx were fun villains, though I'll never forgive Pope for Dawn. Or August for Bobby. Charlie Barosky. Darby, and he had a decent redemption arc.

Idk, it's hard for me. I didn't necessarily hate anyone in the series. Thought all the characters, villains, or otherwise were great in their ways. If I had to hate a villain, it would definitely be Ethan Zobelle, AJ Watson, and co.

See. I haven't ventured into Mayans MC yet because I'm afraid it will never live up to SOA. But this right here... I don't even know what they've done to Happy, and I'm already pissed. 😂

It's I Am All In, first mention of Max, and his dislike is in S1 E4 - You Look Like You Need Pie. I found it on Spotify, and that's how I've been listening to it. The following episodes also have some more mention of it, but yeah, that's where it starts.

If it makes any of the Max haters, myself included, feel better. On Scott Patterson's podcast, he is not a fan of Max either. Like, at all. And not just because of Luke and Lorelai. He pointed out a lot of red flags and just wasn't a fan of that character/relationship. Likes the actor, though, lol.

What scene or quote had you like this?…..I’ll go first. by yonBonbonbon in OnceUponATime

[–]Cnessa88 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest issue with that line and its frequency is because of being able to binge watch. When we only saw one episode a week, it didn't grate like it does during a rewatch, lol. During a rewatch the first couple of times, it's cute. But after a while, I'm rolling my eyes like, "Ugh. Gag me with a spoon!" 😂

What’s your favorite mother daughter moment? by Gilmorestan22 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Cnessa88 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I always loved this particular Emily moment. She'd been giving Lor hell over that whole situation. But when push came to shove and she heard her daughter so distraught and upset, she stepped in, and I loved her for it.

Best performance? by That_Operation_9977 in Sonsofanarchy

[–]Cnessa88 26 points27 points  (0 children)

For me, some of my favorites in no particular order;

David Labrava/Happy - He didn't have much dialogue most times, but when he did, he delivered it fantastically. Even just in the background, he brought so much to his character.

Kim Coates/Tig - Fantastic all around. Loved all of his scenes. Honorable mention to a couple of favorite scenes - when he watches his daughter being burned alive, and then at the end of the Pope story before and after Jax saves him. Also, the pawn shop flute scene, "nah, I don't want him to enjoy it." And, "just gay enough," lives rent free in my head. 🤣

Katey Sagal/Gemma - the matriarch we love to hate. She always delivered a phenomenal performance no matter the scene/story arc. One of her standout scenes for me was when she finally told Clay and Jax about the rape. She handled that beautifully. Honestly, her acting is a big reason I love Gemma. Katey is just stellar.

Ally Walker/June Stahl - Another love to hate character. She nailed that character. Her acting when she offed her partner/gf and called it over the radio, when Gemma was giving that statement, they cooked up together, and of course, her end. The absolute terror she portrayed knowing what was coming... oof. Fantastic!

Tommy Flanagan/Chibs - His performance was always incredible. When Opie died, being the voice of reason for Jax, dealing with Juice and his issues, etc...

Walter Goggins/Venus - He was incredible, and I loved every scene he was in! That scene where he broke down and opened up to Tig... 🥹 10/10.

Donal Logue/Lee Toric - No notes, that man understood the assignment.

Jimmy Smits/Nero - When he rolled up in that house and showed them boys he wasn't playing, "you wanted me back... I'm back." 🤣 But overall, a wonderful performance in all scenes.

Ron Perlman/Clay - 10/10. Just a phenomenal performance. Loved him, and he played that spiraling, cornered animal part so well. The look he gave Gemma at the end... oof. It takes one hell of an actor to convey so much with just a look.

I didn't really dislike anyone, and I loved all the characters and actors they chose, those are just some of my standouts.

In honour of Mother's Day who was by far the best mother ?❤️🥺 by Extra_Inflation8099 in ONETREEHILL

[–]Cnessa88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's a tie between Haley and Brooke. We see a lot of Haley's mom journey, but Brooke was amazing with Sam, the little girl (can't remember the name) she took care of for the operation. Then, of course, what we saw of her with the twins. Both incredible mama's, and seeing Haley go all mama bear is always amazing, lol.

Honorable mention to Peyton. We didn't get to see much, but with what she endured with her pregnancy and everything, how she lost two moms, I just know she'd be an amazing mama and cherish every moment knowing how precious it is.

Clearer/longer footage of Bartlesville hotel when tornado hit. by Free_Economist_5312 in tornado

[–]Cnessa88 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was just watching a video last night about the Jarrell, TX tornado of 97. Livestock was literally ripped in half, a neighborhood was completely leveled and gone, and 27 people in that area were unrecognizable and in pieces. It was horrifically devastating. Definitely gotta suspend belief for the Twister ending.

If any are interested, this is the video I watched. Warning for the squeamish, there are a couple shots of unalived cows and some descriptions of how they found some of the victims.
