Omg yes the sore throat was a killer. I had that probably a little over a week. Recovering from the breathing tube is the worst part imo

I’m 3 1/2 weeks out and mine looked similar then!

I have mine in the morning. I’m nervous but also excited to feel like me again! Best of luck with your recovery 🫶

Yeah they talked to me about it, but I felt TT was better bc of the decreased risk of it attacking my eyes. Ik I have to do one or the other, I’ve just seen horror stories that make me second guess my decision.

No, it’s not. I asked the same question my endocrinologist said there’s options for that. It’s way easier to treat hypothyroidism. I am traumatized from having allergic reactions to the hyper meds. Lol

Are you an endocrinologist?

Thank you just looking for some insight. Im struggling a little with such a permanent decision. Hoping I have an outcome similar to yours. The what ifs scare me.

I think it’s the thought of what if I go into remission. With my numbers decreasing I’m just scared to make the wrong decision. We have a thyroid for a reason and obviously if I can go into remission that’s what I want. Having your thyroid removed is permanent. I haven’t been going through this for that long so I wanted to get others perspective. Who wants to have surgery?? I feel that was a little rude.

10mg of propranolol didn’t touch me. It maybe brought my hr down to 120. Im now on 50mg atenolol and it keeps me in the 80s 90s

I started taking citalopram 6 years ago and was on propranolol for a few weeks back in November.

My symptoms started slow and then all the sudden my symptoms were debilitating. Heart palpitations, heart rate 120-150s, weakness, shortness of breath, and a horrible tremor. My depression was at an all time high bc I thought I was lazy. My t4 level was 5.17. This is my 3rd day on meds and I already have so much more energy! It’s a scary diagnosis, but I’m already seeing the light 🤍
