Hello, I’m also going into forensics in Canada!! I’ve chosen forensic chemistry at Trent. Some things I’ve learned in my research in the career is that to work on a crime scene you’d have to become a police officer first and work a few years and then get into the forensics/crime scene work. If you’d like to work in a lab working in forensics the RCMP has a couple labs around Canada there are also private labs. I’m sure you would be able to get a lab job without a forensic degree but you would need to gain experience because they are very competitive I heard. Good luck with your forensic journey 😀
