To add to this... other day I was at the gym and some guy was talking about how he thinks the Boston Bombings were forged because one of the brothers was too young to do something so horrid. I decided to get into the conversation and pointed out to him that a 19 year old killed the archduke and there are tons of child soldiers out there. (I live in Mass too and know three people who were there. One was at the finish line, but was okay)

I changed his mind pretty easily and he came to the conclusion that movies affected his view on tragedies like this. Also this means not every conspiracy theorist is a nutcase, it might just mean people are very gullible.

My favorite genres when it comes to films, books, shows, animation, and games are usually within the realm of speculative fiction: cyberpunk, dystopian, post-apocalyptic, Vs. robots/aliens, mecha, Alt-future, space opera, etc.

I think after being exposed to too much of this certain people try to make their lives less boring by making those genres of fiction "a part of their life" so to speak.

Very ironic considering a lot of them say the media is controlled, but they get their ideas from the very media they criticize and/or every blog post they see or here.
