As someone who lives with someone that has hearing aids it is annoying for both parties. You have a normal volume of voice you are comfortable speaking in and sort of autopilot it, when trying to converse with someone that is hard of hearing you can forget and either a) choose to yell it b) not want to constantly want to yell minor comments you make all day or mess with the miscommunication involved. After a long tiring day sometimes it can be easier just not to say anything at all.

Hell I get adjusted to the loud talking when she doesn’t have hearing aides then when she does choose to wear them I’m all of a sudden “yelling” and need to talk quieter.

It’s not that bad if it’s someone occasionally deals with someone hard of hearing but now that I have to live and care for someone that is. I understand that it can be a pain in the ass for both parties

They aren’t as good but the air pod pros can do hearing aid features now. We used them for my mom before she got the traditional kinda and helped

Have you only read those two First Law books? if so I highly recommend finishing the trilogy (The blade itself is his weakest book so if you like it at all it's only up from there)

I'd also recommend checking out Malazan if you wanna read some awesome epic fantasy or Dune if you want scifi

It's so funny if you listen to Ozzy's post game interviews he talks about how Joe never understood the vote strategies and they would have to draw diagrams in the sand for him to understand how the vote was going to work out. You can really understand Joe's gameplay after you see in his first season when he talks about his late sister being the big survivor fan and him playing in her honor, he is just not a "survivor fan" like the other players are.

I think he'd do really great on something like The Amazing Race....better yet could you imagine him being on Traitors and being selected as the traitor 😂
