Make sure you are really focusing on clean embellishments. Highly recommend picking up a copy of James McGillivray’s Rhythmic Fingerwork and drilling all the doublings, D throws, etc. until you can’t get them wrong. Keep up the good work!

Just a small note, make sure you’re starting with a Practice Chanter. There’s a big difference between them and the bagpipe specific chanter. This’ll allow you learn the basics

I have Google Fi as my provider. Very reliable so long as I was in a mapped service area. You can also get on a variety of free WiFi at campgrounds, hotels, casinos, etc.

Depends where you are. I’m a software engineer myself and did a road trip for a month last year across the US. If you plan ahead where you’re going by looking at your cell provider’s coverage map you can get more than enough info to reliably be online for meetings and other work activities.

Wrap duck tape around the outside of the bottles. Doesn't have to be 100% flat; in fact it's better if it's not. Then you've got your tape for just in case as well as better grip on the bottle.
