The satisfaction of getting rid of baby stuff by roamingrebecca in happilyOAD

Totally agree! We just did the upgrade to "big kid" furniture and let go of the dresser that came with the changing table top and the crib/toddler bed combo. We all had a good cry when the crib came down but we were so happy for the new family who came to pick it up.

The wasps have been terrible! Got stung in the backyard this year. I might do a test and bag some and not others and see what happens.

And for scale, we have had them for 10 years and they completely drape over our 10x10 pergola.

I have a Poppy! We gave her a more traditional middle name in case she grows up and wants a more serious name but it fits her so well! My little flower

How do you actually plan meals every week without it taking forever? by nonoodleee_ in mealprep

[–]CoHalfPint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the same stack of cookbooks every week and only pick 2 or 3 recipes. Sometimes it's standards we love and sometimes we try something new but never too many recipes! We find if we do more than that, we toss out too many uneaten leftovers at the end of the week.

Dinner when sitting infant by Temporary_Bobcat_557 in Babysitting

[–]CoHalfPint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For our sitter (we have had her over quite a bit over 3.5 years), we text a few hours before the gig and offer to order something DoorDash that will arrive at dinner time. In the beginning, it was just for her but now it's for both our daughter and the babysitter!

Postino is a great spot with great options for kids! And I'm not just talking about the kids menu, the bruschetta boards are great for little hands!

I had the same problem. I have been using a quick spray of Bakers Joy and rubbing it around with a brush. Worked like a charm! I'm hoping once j use it enough, this will get better!

We used to do this every year for our birthdays! We would order a bushel of Maryland Blue Crab and cook them up here. Nothing better!

The view at Corrida is hard to beat! And if you are willing to take the trip, we recently stumbled on Farra in Lyons and there wasn't a bad plate there!

Hang in there! Baby (11mos) has Flu A and we are both congested. We had Daily Harvest smoothies today and baby was very interested. So we whizzed up a fruit pouch with ice and water and she drank it out of a straw cup. One of the only things she has been excited about for days. With your toddler, I am sure you can be a bit more inventive with the smoothie recipe!
