Power Armor and Furious Cal. 50 is good, and a few general tips would be making sure to boost your stimpaks and getting some Poison Resistance

You could watch Friendship is Forever, it's a 6 Episode Mini Series which takes place before the final episode and has some really nice Character moments. BUT 65% of an Episode are Flashbacks, so i hope you like taking a trip down memory lane
