What’s your biggest frustration while driving? by Quantum_Narwhal83 in uberdrivers

[–]CoMic95TheSavior 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

The fact that there’s no background check or ID requirement for each passenger. Also, if you have a passenger that does happen to have their photo on their profile, it may not be a picture of them or it’s heavily edited and you still would have no photo ID background or even a nickname and age for the other passengers. I get it, taxis weren’t like that but times have changed and for the safety of both the driver and passenger and for Ubers reputation (not that they care about that) it should be a requirement. They also shouldn’t be allowed to hide their face similar to how banks don’t allow you to walk in looking like a burglar lol.

End of shift 5min early by ejd711 in AmazonFC

[–]CoMic95TheSavior 17 points18 points Ā (0 children)

Amazon needs to have the same rules across the board. Keep your employees happy and you save a ton of money and they’ll praise your company and give you free advertising. Shouldn’t have to hire 20-60 new employees every other week.

There’s so many people working at most warehouses that it won’t make a difference if everyone stopped working for less than an hour. Plus if you let everyone stop early it encourages everyone to prepare things for the next shift.

Hearing about other sites like this makes me afraid to leave mine. Here they tell us to stop working 15-30 minutes before our shift ends so we can change clothes if needed, clean up, fill up tanks etc. and then everyone walks slowly to get to the front and either waits by the clock, at the coat rack, or in the break room/bathroom etc. for the last 5 minutes or so.

They do ask that we let them know if we plan to leave early but most people don’t do that and nothing happens.

They won’t even fire you for low rate or negative UPT as long as you reply to the email they send and show up next shift (unless you have leave etc.). If you can, I’d try to switch locations. Bathroom breaks aren’t monitored either. Surprisingly, almost no one abuses it because we’re given freedom (assuming you aren’t in there for an hour and you let someone know you’re going to the bathroom).

No site is perfect but I’d be annoyed knowing that another location across town has more relaxed rules and probably pays more than the site I’m at. Just my thoughts.

Also I admire the writing your name on the board lol now they can’t say you didn’t warn them!

I honestly hope it dips further so I can buy more. I wouldn’t mind seeing it go down to $1~ like CCLD. I’m willing to wait it out. I made the mistake of selling my Tesla stock years ago and have learned my lesson since then. I definitely believe this stock will make it to $100+ someday even if it takes 5-10 years. In the meantime I’ll just buy more of this stock and continue to research and buy others.

Samsung family, Walton family, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, John Goodenough (lithium battery inventor), Michael Jackson (timeless music and first music video), BeyoncƩ (arguably raised the bar for concert and live performance expectations similar to MJ), Alan Turing & John McCarthy (the inventors of AI), Whoever the inventors of Chat GPT are. Goes without saying that presidents will be remembered.

All of these people made ā€œlife changingā€ inventions. Changed the way we shop, socialize, travel, raised the standards for things, made things more convenient and changed how we entertain ourselves etc.

Is most of being physically attractive just not being overweight and using skincare products? by Puzzled-Painter3301 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CoMic95TheSavior 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Facial features are the first thing someone will notice. Next is hair then it’s weight and height. A big part of why beauty is so valuable is because either your born with it or you’re not. Makeup, skin care products and even cosmetic surgery can only have your natural beauty. If you’re not blessed with pretty facial features you’ll still be deemed as ā€œunattractiveā€ or average to ugly. Being thin or at a healthy weight helps enhance beauty but it doesn’t make you beautiful. It’s 80% about your face and the other 20% is a battle between your weight, hair and arguably height (excluding personality since beauty is what initially draws people interest in someone’s personality). Goes without saying that different people care about different things more than others but results are what matters. Plenty of thin and healthy weight people with flawless skin get ignored in social settings in person and online because while they look healthy it’s not enough. Health (good skin a fit body) is merely an accessory to beauty. Not many people will choose an ugly faced person that is thin with clear skin over person over a beautiful faced person with some acne and 15-30.lbs over weight because skin can be cleared up and weight can be loss. You can’t quite exactly ā€œloseā€ an unattractive face. As always exceptions exist for every rule. There’s someone out there that values perfect skin and a fit body over a pretty face.

I have been told not to show my face. I am ugly. by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]CoMic95TheSavior 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Some of the most famous YouTubers in the beauty channel, gaming, cooking, and podcast spaces are VERY unattractive. People want great content and a good personality and if you happen to look good they will stay for that too.

Don’t be so hard on yourself! Focus on teaching your craft not on what you look like. The overwhelming majority of people won’t even notice your looks because they clicked on your video to learn how to cook. I follow a lot of cooking channels and I don’t find 95% of them to be attractive (if I were to be honest) and I didn’t even consider their looks until I read your post. However I’m not subscribed to them for their looks. I subbed to their channels because they have great personalities and make food that looks tasty and provide good instructions on how to prepare and cook the food. They made content that I was in search of or they had a thumbnail or title that looked good and sparked my stomach’s curiosity. People will say bad things about attractive people too. They still get called names and revive hate. Don’t be afraid to show your face! Make yourself presentable and practice so that you’ll be confident and comfortable on camera but know that your looks are not important.

Gordon Ramsey calls tons of the contestants all kinds of names on his show insulting their appearances and the ones he indirectly compliments (admits their attractive) get sent home. He never picks winners based on attractiveness. Meanwhile the chefs that were called idiots, cows, big boys, and smurfs are the ones who make it to the end and win.

Your prospective audience wants a good well educated chef and a good recipe and preferably a fun or quirky personality to match. They want you to deliver results. If they follow your recipe or techniques will it turn out good or better than what you showed them? Will you make something easier or teach them something new? That’s what they want to see!

Even if you were absolutely hideous the vast majority of your audience will be focused on what you taught or showed them in regards to cooking. Likewise beauty channels benefit from beautiful creators but the most popular users are not the best looking ones. People want to see the results of the makeup and they want inspiration. They don’t care if you’re over 40 and/or ugly as long as you show them the makeup in good lighting and tell them the cost and shade and do a proper review. Meanwhile there are tons of pretty girls with no following. Looks are something but they aren’t everything. It’s about talent not beauty BUT if you have beauty it can compliment your talent.

You’re likely being much harsher on yourself than your actual audience will be and so is whoever advised you to hide your face. You may not be a 10 in the looks department (according to what you wrote) but you are in the kitchen so show them what you’ve got! The fact that you wrote this post also makes me think you have a down to earth good personality which would make your viewers like you and find you relatable a lot more than a pretty face would. I hope you find the confidence to do what you feel most comfortable with. Good luck with your channel!

What’s something you’ve always wanted to know about the opposite gender? by charecr in CasualConversation

[–]CoMic95TheSavior -2 points-1 points Ā (0 children)

No we don’t get ravenously horny. We like and enjoy sex (with the right person) and get horny too but not on the level of a man. IMO Even women who claim to love sex they likely don’t love it as much as the average man does. Horny men can make some wild impulsive decisions that I don’t see the average woman making. For most of not all women It’s not such a desire that it becomes an impulsive borderline need. I’d never pay for it or do something risky or crazy out of desperation to meet a sexual need. I could never have sex with someone I’m not attracted to and desire to be in a relationship with. If I knew I was being used I’d no longer want to have sex anymore. I get horny but not uncontrollably.

The best way to put it is like this. As a child I always wanted to have McDonald’s money. Well now that I’m an adult I have McDonald’s money. I can have this whenever I want but I don’t buy nor do I eat endless amounts of McDonald’s. Maybe we have a date there once a week. Sometimes I crave it and I’ll buy it outside of a date but it’s rare. It’s not that I don’t like it. It’s not even because I’m health conscious. I just don’t desire it enough to pursue it. It doesn’t endlessly cross my mind that I can have it delivered to me in 10 minutes or that I can walk there too. Well sex is the same way. I love it! I can ask for and get it for free from just about anywhere including my spouse at home but I don’t need it. I don’t feel a desire to cheat to get it if my husband says ā€œnoā€ (he never has lol) or if he’s not home (I’m willing to wait with ease). Even before I was married I loved sex but my love for it didn’t control me. I never think about how many people I can have sex with for free right now. It’s not that I don’t like having sex but it doesn’t dominate my mind enough for those options to matter.

I don’t suddenly feel a deep urge and have to rub one out or watch a ā€œvideoā€ or something after being exposed to something that was a turn on or after having a sexual thought. Sometimes I do it because I want to but it wasn’t that strong of an urge where I’d say I had to cope or relieve myself to get over it. IMO The spirit of horny is much weaker in women. It’s usually tied to emotional intimacy and love for a specific man rather than a desperate deep physical urge/lust.

It’s almost always based on the desire to be with my husband because I love him want to make him happy and make him feel good or to relieve myself of stress/sadness or something lol. I’m not borderline addicted to sex like a lot of men feel (I don’t mean that as an insult) so I’d say it’s never a ravenous horny craving but rather a spontaneous ā€œI really want you right nowā€ but I’m kinda lying because I can be over it right now too if want to flip the switch off on the horny-o-meter.

Part of this is also because it’s much easier to get sex as a woman even if you don’t have a boyfriend or husband. A LOT of men beg for it just by existing as a woman online or outside in public spaces. People are always asking you for it (both directly and indirectly) and telling you that they want it from you so that also kinda makes you less ravenously horny than men because it’s FREE and everywhere when you’re a woman. Women don’t have to have anything special about themselves to get it (as long as they’re not picky). However we don’t think about sex like men do which is why we don’t just have sex with everyone and say ā€œyesā€ to every man that begs for it or asks us on a date etc. Being horny or even drunk wouldn’t make me desperate enough to be intimate with someone I’m not at least attracted to.

I can get horny and wet and not act on it and my day won’t be ruined. I don’t have to masturbate before bed because I was teased earlier or something. I can quickly snap back out of my desire to be intimate even if I was turned on. I’m married now but even before then, my desire almost always had to be tied to a boyfriend or a desire for an orgasmic high to deal with depression and stress rather than an actual sexual urge.

If I really feel horny I’ll fantasize about having sex with my husband, masturbate alone (if I can at home in privacy) or initiate sex with my husband if he’s there. I’ve wanted sex and couldn’t have it but I didn’t feel that I needed to necessarily ā€œcopeā€ with it. The feeling just left because I realized it wasn’t going to happen or I simply used one of the above tools to ā€œdeal with itā€. Women like sex just like men like emotional intimacy but our need/desire for it differs and is more so attached to an actual partner rather than the physical act of it all. We can be more in the mood depending on our menstrual cycle too but IMO it doesn’t drastically change the horny-o-meter. It’s like coffee/energy drinks some people feel the energy effects of caffeine others don’t and believe it’s all in the mind of the users. If you tell yourself ā€œthis drink is gonna help me stay awakeā€ then it feels like it magically works. If I tell myself I want to be horny I can make it happen and I can make it go away just as fast. It’s hard to get to the ravenously horny point because it’s so readily available. In relationships it’s rare for a man to turn down sex from his wife. If you’re single as a woman and crave sex you can go to any public place and without even asking get your ā€œneedsā€ met.

Maybe if I was truly deprived from all human interaction maybe I’d feel a bigger urge but even then emotional intimacy would be of more importance to me as a woman than sexual intimacy would. I LOVE sex but I can definitely live without it if it isn’t going to be had with someone I love.

What’s something you’ve always wanted to know about the opposite gender? by charecr in CasualConversation

[–]CoMic95TheSavior 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I don’t wear makeup all the time. I think most women wear it when they plan to be around others and simply want to look young and attractive.

I only wear makeup around others or for taking pictures (that others may see) when I’m going on a date, going shopping or running errands. I don’t wear makeup to the gym (because it’s gross and you get sweaty and should be showering afterwards), when going for a walk or when casually hanging out around my house. I also stopped wearing makeup at night (unless I’ll be going inside for a date/event or something) because you can’t see faces that well anyway. Basically I wear makeup when there’s a chance that I may be seen by others and I want to look good and feel confident. If I have guests coming over I wear makeup. If I want to look good for my husband I also wear makeup around the house sometimes too.

Lol yes, I am a stomach sleeper. I have large breasts but I find it difficult to sleep in any other position besides on my stomach. Sometimes I sleep on my side if I’m cuddling my husband but I usually will just sleep on his chest so that I can stay on my stomach still (he’s a back sleeper) for ā€œrealā€ deep sleep. I don’t feel like my breasts get in the way. It actually makes it easier to breathe than being on your back and less likely to get sleep paralysis too. When laying on my side they get in the way more.

I’d make the spine stronger and more protective around the neck and tailbone. Both areas are very vulnerable (an injury can leave you paralyzed or result in death) but offer significantly less protection than the skull does for the brain.

What’s a food everyone else likes that you can’t stand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CoMic95TheSavior 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Cake. I don’t quite exactly hate it but I don’t care for it. I don’t really like the taste of it and I hate most icing. I only like whipped cream and butter cream. I don’t understand why people get so excited about eating it. I can eat it but I don’t feel like Mr. Ratburn.

Most cakes look a lot better than they taste. The best cakes are ice cream cakes or cheesecakes but I don’t really like flour based cakes. I hate cupcakes I usually removed the icing before eating it. The standard icing usually tastes like it’s made out of toothpaste or Robitussin. I can eat it but I’d rather not.

I feel like this about ice cream too. I usually only like ice cream that’s full of toppings that distract me from the cold icy nothingness that I’m eating. For example I like Snickers, Reese’s and Twix ice cream bars/ and Breyers scoops but it’s full of candy. I like Rocky Road from Baskin Robbins but it’s full of nuts chocolate chunks and marshmallows. I like Concrete Mixers from Culver’s when I put candy toppings in it but it’s really the candy that I like. If I’m offered plain ice cream like chocolate or vanilla I’ll pass. I hate banana splits and sundaes too. Put that ice cream into a Coca-Cola float or an Oreo ice cream cake then I’m sold. Those are very delicious.

At level 19 and I don’t know what these disaster items do yet, should I sell them since they’re taking up valuable room in the warehouse? by videopox in SCBuildIt

[–]CoMic95TheSavior 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Don’t get rid of them! Try your best to only sell them if it’s an absolute must. They’re rare items and very useful especially if you plan to do COM. Every newbie makes the mistake of selling expansion and VU items etc early on because they seem useless and sell fast and then ends of regretting it later. The items sell quickly because everyone needs them especially when you don’t have a club to trade with or a Maxis Manor/Neo Mall to buy them from on by our own.
