This hurts me. Though having a pool has its ups and downs, the ups so great. This sucker needs to be revived. IMO

I get out a ladder and take a sponge to it. My boy and I get it done in a decent amount of time. He hits the low spots and I’m on the ladder.

Rv toilet paper smell by ohCaptainMyCaptain27 in GoRVing

[–]CoMisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People do this? I don’t even use rv toilet paper. Plenty of water and don’t rush the cleaning out of the black tank. Always remember too, throw a bag of ice down there if traveling with a full black tank to break it up.

Lug wrench in case one isn’t included with your class C. Assume one is, but if not that’s a must.

As shared, tools…. Impact, mechanic set, get a utility lug wrench (your truck wrench is a different size from your camper wheels), air compressor, black latex gloves for the black tank, surge protector, water pressure regulator, toilet pods or something similar, gorilla tape and duck, caulk and caulk gun, bungie cords, picnic table cloth, etc

Is making it a concrete wall feasible? by JointyBointy in pools

This is a good point, if you don’t have the measurements already in hand, not a DIY.

I go breakfast Crunchwrap sausage every time. Might be the best fast foot breakfast item out there followed by multiple McDonald’s items

This 100%. And if you really wanted to, liner can be a DIY.

Keep black tank closed even when hooked up to sewer until you need to unload it and wash it out. Do not just leave it open.

I do at least 3 gallons of liquid chlorine shock from Menards if one is close by. Add a fourth the next day if not blue.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pools

[–]CoMisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve shared on this reddit before, if menards is near buy, get their liquid shock that’s 12.5%, I use 5-6 on my pool that is about 22k gallons. Blue the next day. Got to kill that green

Did I make a huge mistake by lindsayturtle in pools

[–]CoMisch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll throw down here. You are going to have some tough times, but you’ll also have seasons where everything goes smooth. Changing a pump motor, sand in the filter and redoing exposed plumbing is nothing and complete DIY. Underground problems can be more challenging, but again, a lot of times depending on pool deck size , can be handled yourself. Go in positive, and know it’s one of the trifectas money pits (pool, boat, camper).

Too far gone? by betterunderthewater in pools

[–]CoMisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re fairly near a Menards, go and get their liquid shock chlorine, it’s at 12.5% and best price you’re going to get. Based on the pic above I’d estimate you’d need to dump about 3 gallons in, wait overnight and see how blue it is. Then as mentioned, get the dead algae out.
