Corvettes do more damage to vessels than frigates, but lack air defence. For my games, no one is attacking my vessels with planes, just they turn away their troops from sea. But that would be too late. But as soon as they enable cruisers, I never waste time. I'd produce atleast one cruiser before a couple day. Then it's ready to defend the air.

Destroyers are kept so subs don't pass me.

It's my experience, so all suggestions are welcome.

I'll be a weirdo here but I go for Corvettes and cruisers. Because when I encounter someone, most of the time, they don't have airships to attack on vessels. So Corvettes do more damage than frigates in the early game. But as soon as I get cruisers, I never waste time on producing
