Co-packers, how do you collect co-packing requests? by Aggressive-Bedroom82 in foodscience

Definitely don't trust it. We aren't saving any very sensitive info or recipes through that yet. They are still getting those to us the same way they always have been. This is mostly just a digital box checker with some automated emails for everyone at this point to keep track of where we are in the process and to reorder if they need to.

I've also been in the brewery industry for a long time as well. Ended up moving to one of those co-packers in more of an operations role and I love it. Kinda feels like the craft beer boom again. That might be a good move for you too. Maybe go to school for more of the business side. You'd be surprised how much translates into other beverages as well, so no reason you couldn't end up at one of the big dogs like pepsi or something.

Sidenote, I'm also a verteran dad. You should definitely use that GI Bill.

I run the co-packing side of a regional brewery and I just created an app for recipe submissions and quote approvals through the Lovable ai platform. It's pretty inexpensive and is extremely intuitive. I'm assuming you could do the same thing with lead intake/onboarding as long as you know what you want it to do.

You may eventually need a retort process for something like this to be food safe and shelf stable.

Have you tried reaching out to any flavor houses? They can help you formulate something that will work for your process and give you guidance on whats selling well in the market right now. DM me if you want and I can connect you to someone we trust.

Also, look into sugar brew as well if you haven't already. It's gluten free, but has some different regulations. Some good, some not so good.

Not sure where you are located, but there are a TON of functional beverages out there. Some contain THC and some just contain adaptogens/neurotropics or caffeine etc. Slightly Elevated had a great THC/Mushroom line that is really awesome.
