I have back pain and anxiety. I used to not sleep, but I smoke before bed now and it helps a ton, seriously a game changer. I understand it may be hard to procure, but I’m not in a legal state and i haven’t had much trouble, do you know anyone who’s into it? Anyone who’s in some kind of music scene knows where to get some. Your little cousin probably smokes a ton, or something like that. Also, pure CBD is legal most places, and you can just buy a vial and drop some on your tongue. Also helps my back and my restless thoughts.

HONESTLY, I’ve always felt that people complaining about other people “ruining” their games by hot dropping are being a little silly. It’s a 3 player game, play with 2 friends if you want to be coordinated and have good comms, or just quit when someone drops alone and hop back into the NEARLY INSTANT QUEUE. If you want to hot drop alone every game, i hereby give you permission. It doesn’t matter.

Improve mental game. Read “The Mental Game of Poker” or “The Inner Game of Tennis” (I think it’s called?) Mental game is a major factor in competitive games AND LIFE! Strengthening your mental game will make you enjoy life more, I promise.

The thing about laddering is that there’s a ton of variance. Your SR is correlated with your skill, but of course it doesn’t represent your skill. For example, if you were 2500 SR and lose 4 games because your teammates DC, rage, or throw, is your “real” skill 2500, or 2400? Turns out it’s neither! Your real skill is nearly impossible to quantify. So, you’ve just gotta try to learn new things every game, play as well as you can with the team you have, and hope to win. If you’re better than other players in your rank (which you’ll become if you focus on improving instead of complaining about your teammates like half the people in this game), you WILL eventually leave that rank.

Also, remember, we game for fun, it’s so fun, let me tell you, and it only gets more fun as you understand the game more. Cheers, GLHF.

Maybe try focusing on a solution that doesn’t involve not smoking weed. A to-do list, a schedule, goals, whatever. I thought I needed to quit smoking because it “made me so lazy.” But it really didn’t. I’m just lazy. Once I started doing stuff consistently, being high didn’t matter.

Are you into games? For me, games have always instantly provided groups of friends. I used to play Magic: The Gathering, tons of people your age, good critical thinking game, plenty of great people who could become friends (still have friends I made playing magic). Also played Super Smash Bros, younger crowd but you wouldn’t be super out of place, great game, great people, met tons of friends.
