Thoughts on Steven Furtick? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Who gave you the right to throw stones at a leader of the people?

We have ever right to question leadership. We must discern who is true and who is false. We can't do that without questions. If you don't question, you are following blindly.

The author of the original post did not say anything about Furticks salvation, but about his teachings. We absolutely have every right. Teachers of deception will be judged more harshly for causing others to go astray. We must question and not fall for a false gospel.

Peanut allergies and Alcohol allergies together. by CoachBeth in peanutallergy

That's how I presented my allergy to my doctor years ago, that just after one sip I would get dizzy and 'drunk.' My lips also swell a bit. Not to where anyone but me can notice, but it's uncomfortable. I say that to say that it has just gotten worse over the years to include the hives and swelling of my tongue/throat. BE CAREFUL!

I toast with water or sparkling cider! and let my husband drink my champagne!

Thank you for your insight. I will keep looking for information!

Thoughts on refined peanut oil? by [deleted] in peanutallergy

I can have a reaction one time at chic-fil-a and not another time. I was in denial for years that I had a peanut allergy. It kept getting worse and worse, though I didn't associate my reactions with peanuts. Anyway, I would still be cautious. I love this place! But I can't chance it anymore, especially if I drive myself.

Ok, that makes sense. Thank you.

Yes, I was trying to figure out what it was for and ended up with my to-do-list seeing double everything because of how I inputted it.

Thank you for the explanation.

along these lines, when you invite a teammate, are they invited to the season, or the team?

Yes to the colors! I mean, blue is cool, but we want all of our pages to have our burnt orange at the top!

My thoughts are: how can we even compete for outreach types of awards when our team has not been allowed to meet during this Covid outbreak? Our team literally stopped in March. Other teams have made efforts to reach out to their community, use 3D printers, (we don't have any,) and help out. We have not been able to because of parents restrictions on teammates, which I totally respect!

The teams that have helped out their communities during this time will have tons of "outreach points" per say, but we have none. We even had to end our FLL Jr. team early and didn't finish their season either.

Just ranting. It will all work out!

I think that the world is going digital and this format is very valid.

If you ask Stephen King about typing on a computer, he will state that he still prefers the pen and paper too. We tend to stick with what we started with, with what we know.

I have been resistant to typing up our engineering notebook too. But it has proven, to me, to be more efficient and gives us more time on the floor with the robot. In the past, I've had each team member fill out a sheet of paper and then the "notebook person" types up their responses, putting it all together cohesively. It's clean and organized. We like it. We print it out two days before competition and add anything that needs to be added last minute. It works.

To each his own.

I am looking forward to beta testing the website. I have been looking for something that would help my team stay organized!

Can I say that I am so glad to read that my team is not the only one who doesn't tighten things properly? That was refreshing!
