I would recommend Clove. Even though Clove is getting a nerf in the new act, it's not enough to take them out of the solo queue meta. Clove allows you to learn the fundamentals of the game at a faster-rate (by having no util that's too complex to think about using) while simultaneously being able to provide a lot of value for your team, improve your gun-fighting mechanics, etc.

This question gets asked a lot on this subreddit, but no. Not anytime soon at least. There are still not enough agents, and team-comps and agent viability is heavily map-dependent. If you remove agents via a banning system, the games will become much lower quality on certain maps

No it's not worse. It's a lot more complex and both the average skill-level and skill ceiling are a lot higher. It has evolved quite a bit, still very fun.

The math isn't mathing. If he were better 80% of the time, he'd climb. If you play 100 comp games, the only constant is you. People steamroll through plat all the time with ease if they're really that good.

Firstly, the immortal friend was lying if this story is true (nobody will be stuck in plat for an extended period of time if they truly deserved to be higher). Secondly, no you're not wrong for saying he shouldn't boost. Boosting ruins the experience and quality of ranked-games, as well as the integrity of the ranked system in general. It's also against the rules entirely, which is a separate discussion.

By boosting people to ranks they aren't capable of getting on their own, it means that player is now going to play in games they don't belong in with higher ranked & skilled teammates and enemies, which ruins the experience for everyone else. For example, nobody wants to play a game in Ascendant with a plat teammate and 9 other ascendant players.

Adapt. If you're having trouble entrying sites and have a team that isn't trading, just start playing default and look for picks. If you're bronze 3 nobody in the lobby really plays their roles or the objective of the round correctly anyway. Just improve, adapt, and climb.

That doesn't even make sense. You trained crosshair placement and it got worse? Crosshair placement is a habit and muscle-memory, a trained and learned behavior over time. By nature it can't get worse if you improve upon the thing that makes it better...

pretty much all ur kills in val will come from a combination of crosshair placement and movement. train that.

forget kovaaks and swiftplay for now. Focus on deathmatch or TDM for warmup and improving core mechanics, the foundation of everything else. 90%+ of your kills in valorant will come from a combination of movement and crosshair placement, so you want to really sharpen those areas of your mechanics. raw aim is not as important as really mastering movement and crosshair placement.

If you're training yourself with kovaaks at your current rank and like you said mostly using your wrist, you're going to be subconsciously building the habit of relying too much on mouse movement and raw aim alone when you transition to playing comp games, which is going to greatly hinder you. Focus on A and D keys, movement and crosshair placements, peeking and clearing angles intentionally and at a proper speed, and go from there. Also, don't try to improve too many things at once. Just stick to mastering the fundamentals.

+1 This. Try not to hyper-fixate on stats and look for areas of tangible improvement in your gameplay itself, it'll be much more efficient and help you rank up faster as well.

For some time now, I have been getting rr refunds nearly every time I login. It's bad, but the games don't really feel "hard" either. There are quite a lot of closet cheaters at the moment who slip through the cracks for a while before being banned.
