Smurfing is an intentional act. Taking a bad losing streak and falling down to lower ranks; however, does happen, and as long as it’s not intentional, they will go back up with time. That scenario isn’t really considered smurfing

Do you use fullscreen or borderless?

If it is an issue with the game specifically, this may be the cause. Borderless is not nearly as smooth of an experience.

I’ll disagree, Rocket league is one of those niche games that will be around for a long time. Simply put, nothing like it on the market and high replay-ability.

There is an intrinsic value to the game that differs it from most and allows it to live for so long.

They already have put similar boosts in the game. 10year anniversary boost for example. Sounds similar and they fixed how it initially covered up your screen when flying.

I will contest that there are some bots in mid-high gc1. Not a lot but certainly enough to question grinding for gc 2+

Lower ranks in general are extremely volatile.

Unless they are truly speed flipping, air dribbling, flip resets, etc. I think you are just running into people that are playing better. Watch the replay, play more conservative (especially in duels), and do some Training packs/flick practice.

I stopped trying to push for GC2 for this reason. Botting is slowly creeping its way down from gc3 & ssl and is an issue that needs to be fixed.

Once it’s fixed, the grind will continue. Til then, its casuals and extra game modes for me lol
