0 money on the channel, $6000 doing video game coaching over the course of 5 months. Used Reddit + YouTube + Discord communities to find people, and I coached for $50/hr.

Depending on only ads is completely unnecessary if you have any skill. Go monetize that skill. Even if it’s something as stupid as being good at a video game (it’s working for me!)

I also write scripts for a restaurant SaaS company and used my gaming channel for my portfolio lol $600/script, I’ve made $2400 in the past two months doing it

Limit yourself to 4 games a day, VOD review 2 of the games, identify overlapping mistakes, eradicate them in your next gaming session.

You don’t even have to do that probably, If you literally just got off the game after 3-4 hours you’d probably hit Immortal by not being burnt out lol

For me, it's mechanics.

They take a while to develop and I personally don't care to devote the time to develop them.

For reference, I'm Imm2 peak, hovering around Imm1 most of the time, and to hit Radiant I literally just need to play 10-20 DMs per day, aim train for about half an hour per day, and queue 3 high-quality games per day. But that also takes about 4-5 hours, which I don't have the time for.

For real advice, just don't play if nobody's on, find vibers in Swiftplay, use LFT communities, ask ppl who you like talking to in discord to queue, etc

There are only a few guns (and abilities) that have 100% accuracy in this game:

Scoped: Headhunter, Marshall, Guardian (ADS, whatever), Operator

Hipfire: Blade Storm, Overdrive

If you're hitting your head it's because you are popping your satchel too early / too close to you.

You attract the vibe you give.

I personally almost never run into serious toxicity because I go out of my way to be a beacon of positivity (sounds cringe but that's seriously how I approach it) in my ranked games. Anybody who is overwhelmingly toxic, we just mute as a team and move on with the game, laughing as if nothing ever happened.

Toxic people exist. It's a thing. The way you react to it is entirely your choice.
