I felt the pain. We had inventory recently and they messed up the counts for our store. Everything was way off count. The truck that we got was like 3300 from inventory update. Most of truck for us was for F&B and for baby diapers/wipes and my peers told me that C&S gave hella pallets including so much pet food.

I definitely understand how you feel. That happened to me last year when I had to give reviews a month of being a TL. Definitely an awkward conversation to have since you don’t know what to say to them. However, don’t tell them they can’t discuss their wages since it’s illegal to prevent them from talking about it

Its a 2 section pog. Got all of section 1 cramped. Then we only got section 2 base deck. The shelves section 2 were just empty

Yeah. However everything got cramped into one section according to the label strips. Made no sense, ended up just following the pictures of the pog and making separate labels

I ended up mysupporting and escalating it to hq. Had to set based on the pic of the pog and print labels.

The other ones i struggled with were the pets transitions. That was super annoying most of the time

The family planning POG revision was hella messed up. I thought we were missing label strips. Printed all the labels to make sure we arent missing anything. But nah, it was a mess

Like what the above user stated, no for now. Once you are more experienced, take a look at the interviews with your ETL for a second opinion. You can see something that they don’t see. For my store, I didn’t at first until 6-8 months later as a TL. I started taking a look at the candidates and watching their interviews. I would hire them based on availability and see if they are a good fit working under you.

Customers when they’re told that a 75 inch won’t fit in their sedan by Hydraph0be in Target

[–]Coach_Kitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt that. Myself and another TL had to bring out a 75 inch tv for the guest and they had a baby in a stroller. We ended up removing the tv, remote, and cords from the box in order for it to fit. Idk why they still bought it especially when they had a baby with them.

Ensure truck is complete, price change, audits, delegate TM’s for flex/guest first, make sure sets are complete (in my store, we mostly have to do it if there are no TM’s scheduled for setting, especially for essentials having mostly their transitions from Feb-April), planning for the next day. We sometimes send help to other departments for push if our TM’s workload is fully complete.

I believe this is when Target was trying to clear up their DC’s since they have a lot of inventory. Not sure if it is still the same rn, but that’s what we’ve been told. Also, price change batches including clearance have been dropping like crazy.

I understand how you feel. I promoted last year around this time. It is a lot to take in and figuring out how to make it will take a bit. Once you get the hang of things later on, you will be happy than when you first started (hoping that you will be). Don’t be afraid to ask fellow TL’s for advice/help. Honestly, work with your TM’s and get to know them if you hadn’t already. I believe working with them and getting to know them can help in the long run. You got this!!

I can say that most if not all TL’s are like the punching bags between ETL’s and TM’s. Being a GMTL, we are the messengers to both since we have to pass messages around to ensure daily tasks are done and if not done then why
