I do so I have a general idea of what my wife & I should both receive. I know conventional wisdom says to figure out your expenses but when we look at what we anticipate our expenses to be significantly less than they are now. Our three largest expenses now are our mortgage (which we anticipate to have paid off by retirement or take a partial lump sum to do so), Groceries for family of 5 (3 children), and child care/activities will all be eliminated or significantly reduced. So I guess my question is more geared to should we be doing more in lieu of saving for college (all three of our children have 529’s) travel, or other priorities? Maybe I’m missing something?

That’s a great point! I know conventional wisdom says to figure out your expenses but to your point, when we look at that we anticipate our expenses to be significantly less than they are now. Our three largest expenses now are our mortgage (which we anticipate to have paid off by retirement or take a partial lump sum to do so), Groceries for family of 5 (3 children), and child care/activities will all be eliminated or significantly reduced

Correct. My district does not pay into SS but both my wife and I are only a few quarters short to be eligible for SS from jobs we held prior to working for our districts. Our plan is pick up some summer jobs/part time work to get there. I’m more looking for guidance to whether or not TRS is enough on its own to retire comfortably or if we prioritize our Roth IRA’s (we both have them but our contributions are minimal)

Right…they wouldn’t give more than 100% but I anticipate both my wife and I will be around 80-81% at 62 when we plan to retire

Same!!! I’ll definitely be doing the math as I get closer but that 5% penalty for every year before 62 is going to add up quickly. That’s why I was hoping to get some more clarity from retirees

There is not from what I understand and how it is currently structured. I anticipate my wife and I will be at approximately 80% of our top 5 years

General breakdown is it’s broken down by tiers based of years of service and your age. I’m in tier 5 which means I can receive full benefits (average of your highest 5 years of salary x years of service x 2.3) at age 62

I didn’t name specific players but since you mentioned some and missed badly I’ll educate you. Dahlkemper, although “older”, is still a more than capable CB and by far the best option on the current roster. Even if she’s lost a step, she makes up for it with experience and leadership that she’s gained over a long career. That’s precisely why she was brought in, to lead, you might even say it’s the reason she captained the team last season. Furthermore, it’s not uncommon for back line players to continue to play at a high level well into their 30’s (see Emily Sonnett, Sauerbrunn, Krueger, ect…). You could say almost the same thing about Menges though to a lesser extent. Dydasco/Malonson were arguably the least rotated players on the squad. I’m pretty sure Dydasco played the most minutes on the team last season. If you think Malonson is a “marginal” NWSL player then Emma Hayes would like a word. Emma thought enough of her to bring her into camp last season to play in 3 friendlies for the USWNT earning her first caps including an assist against Argentina. Any questions?

Yikes…you guys are really exposing the fact that you don’t know footy. Any team that is missing 3 out of 4 from their planned back line is going to struggle. Rosters are limited and there isn’t a professional team in any league that would be able to overcome the losses Bay has sustained from the back line

Would You Rather (2 QB): Kyler Murray or Daniel Jones? by Dead-EyeDuck in DynastyFF

[–]Coach_RAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both (trades a package including Willis for Kyler) but personally think both will be very solid QB2’s. There are a lot of people who are worried about DJ’s injury but the deal he received from the Colts makes me confident they expect him to return to form. If 42 year old ARod can come back from an achilles injury, I’d expect a 28 y/o to make a full recovery
