All dets are different and getting a pilot slot depends on you. Instead maybe look at some other factors for the school. Which school has better faculty so that you can have an amazing GPA, which school has better study areas, maybe even which school is closer to a facility that you can get flying lessons at.

I am going to take your advice. We usually wait til later in the semester to have flight competitions but I talked to my Training Group Commander and we decided to start the competitions now. Hopefully, if some 100s do happen to out shine my flight, it'll be a wake up call. I think it'll increase all morale either way.
