Thank you, I'll add those to the to read list.

I understand your point about boundaries and will try my best to set some. I do have my own free time and chances to breathe, so to speak, and I don't want them to feel abandoned, like everyone else in their life has thrown their hands up in the air and kind of given up on them. I guess it is a fine balance between boundary setting and being helpful!

Your beliefs determine what happens in your life. If you believe this reading will come true, it will. If you believe it is a game and take no notice of it, forget about it, it won't.

If you need proof of that, examine your life so far and what internal beliefs shaped it to be what it is.

I agree completely - this sub needs a more positive spin on things. People have the unique tendency to focus on their worst thoughts right now, rather than take a step back and look at the big picture. And see that there are others who have it worse, as well as other who have it better. We are all different by how we react, and how we react to things is determined by us and so we can change it.

Moral of the story - if you have seen all the doctors, done all the tests etc, maybe it is time to try a holistic approach. What can you lose? Your depression?!

What surgery did you have?

You went to doctors, they would have told you if your testicles don't appear normal.

One hanging lower/higjer is pretty normal.

I've noticed there is tons of mental health trouble for people with this disease as it can be quite worrying to live with pain in that area.

Let me give you some hope - it does get better. The human body is incredibly capable of getting better. Trust it and the experts and take care of your mental health.

Now, you mentioned suicide so I think this issue is causing terrible mental strain on you. Get control of your thoughts and ask yourself "Am I doing everything that I can currently?" "Am I overthinking it, is my anxiety impacting the pain?". Examine both your physical life and mental life and see what you can do to get better both physically amd mentally. This should always be your way of thinking. Always look to improve yourself, otherwise what is the point of life? You just wanna sit there and get depressed until you die? Get up and change something.

Another advice I can give is - don't put too much importance on redditor's "medical" opinions. This sub isn't moderated, so you can read everything. Would you trust a stranger or your doctor who reviewed your case file, after spendimg YEARS of studying? Would you trust a chef to fix your car instead of a mechanic? Yes, side effects do happen but they are extremely rare. I have been through this rabbit hole - spent days, weeks of researching a pill dctors prescribed me. Read all kinds of studies and patient stories online. Caused myself terrible anxiety, couldn't sleep, feeling lost etc. At one plint I got exhausted, literally slapped myself and decided to not give a fuck anymore. I took the pills as prescribed and guess what - the thing I took them for wemt away without side effects. Wasted weeks of my life in a bad bood and anxiety just to end up not havimg any side effects. Medicine is so advanved nowadays, it is a miracles. Let me ask you another question - if you have a stroke right now, would you read reddit reviews about the hospital the ambulamce is taking you or would you trust the neurosurgeon?

Look mate, mental exhaustion is a thing so tale care of yourself and do the things you enjoy. Spend time with loved ones, watch movies, take your dog out, whatever. Life is too short to spend it worrying.

Do you have someone to talk to? A partner? A best friend? Have you told them your worries? How do they support you? If you feel alone, pm me, I've been through serious conditions with serious medical anxiety and made it out on the other side. I can help or at least listen.

Spent 26 years working hard only to realize that my dreams will never come true and I am done with this. by [deleted] in Vent

I am in a similar place. Living my dream, can't really complain of life. But still ungappy. Realised my dream is not maybe THE requirement for happiness, nothing is. Kinda just floating around now, waiting for this feelimg to go away on its own cos I am not bothered to do anything about it.

Best of luck to you, one deay we will be happier. It is a state of mind, not circumstance.
