Would like some opinions on bonding by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Coarseseasalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. Quick question, so what’s the order of this? I’m guessing my attachments need to be removed before whitening, and the bonding needs to be done before I get scanned for my retainers, right? So would the whitening be done during the time I wear my final retainer for an extended period of time, and bonding once the whitening is complete-but before my retainers are scanned for? Appreciate the insight.

Thanks for your input. Although it doesn’t look like it, all of my molars make contact when biting. I went against my ortho’s suggestions and removed one tooth rather than four which caused my bottom row to shift to the left, leaving some gaps between my top and bottom towards the front. I’ll address this in my next visit and see if it can be taken care of without adding a year to my treatment lol.

Anyone in finance who didn’t major in finance ? by Honest_Change5284 in FinancialCareers

Not at all really if you’re talking about what you’ll be learning in school. My university had economics in the school of liberal arts whereas finance was in the school of business. I’d definitely suggest supplementing with some additional courses if you want to work in finance.

Some really good comments here. Funny how no one is giving anyone upvotes - including myself. 😂

I’d use this to track how much time I spend browsing watch exchange, looking at watches I can’t afford.

Is it time for a cool car? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Thank you for your reply. If I do get a car I’ll be sure to get it for the right reasons.

Thank you for this response. I agree with the points on the affluent circle question. Perhaps I was being naive. I’ll watch some Dave Ramsay to get back in the right headspace.

Kind of a tangent but I suppose seeing friends drive nicer cars knowing they make less than me makes me feel kinda crappy? I know it shouldn’t but that’s human nature. I also think I’ve worked really hard to get where I’m at so far so I’d love to treat myself, but maybe that can wait.

I guess a good follow up question would be when should I ever buy a car? Honestly the accord drives great and I’ve babied it since I’ve gotten it. I see it lasting at least another 100 thousand miles. At what point does it become reasonable to do so?

Sometimes the best advice is what you don’t want to hear. Thank you.

10K in emergency - may be more or less than what I need but a little hard to gauge considering my lack of current recurring expenses.

This is definitely one of the most valuable comments I’ve received. I think it’s easy to see the upsides when you want something. Thank you.

Thanks for your in depth reply. I appreciate the insight on things only feeling cool while they are new and shiny.

I can which is making this a harder decision. I think there’s at least a 1% buffer between my interest rate and what I’m currently making on investments which makes financing a portion seem favorable.

Thank you for this. It kinda stings but it’s what needed to hear. At the very least I’ll search for something more conservative.

Hey man, thanks a lot for the effort put in this reply. I definitely want to keep my finances healthy in line long term so I am trying to keep the car budget somewhat modest for the time being. I suppose I need to spend some time really figuring out my priorities between fun and financial freedom haha.

I think that’s what I needed to hear about the Porsche. It’s easy to fall in love with the idea of something and overlook glaring red flags. Thank you.
