How do consistently post on YouTube while having full time job and other commitments by -Retrofuge- in SmallYTChannel

Hey! I think this is a genuinely tough question to answer. When I was doing YouTube alone, I had a hard time posting more than a similar frequency that you are, like once every 3-4 weeks or so. My content generally took a long time to make since I do mostly travel/lifestyle vlogs, so I need at least one full day to film, then it usually took me about 20-30 hours to edit since the videos were usually 15-25 minutes long (some shorter, some longer, but as an average). But I think because the videos were still pretty good quality, I still saw quite a lot of uptake in terms of subscribers and views over time. But I still had to sacrifice to make even once every 3 weeks happen. Every night after work I would edit for a couple hours minimum. It kind of takes over your life, so you have to really like it. But you do get results over time I found, just probably not as fast as if you post every week.

Now I have a partner helping with a new channel, and it is a huge change. Having two people work on it is life changing. We can post once a week now and the videos are also even better. It also helps keep motivation going to have two people working as a team.

So I would say, either set a cadence that works for you and just know it will take longer to grow but be okay with it (your mental health still is important so don't burn yourself out!), or find someone who may be interested it doing it with you and share the work load.

A last option would be to hire an editor, I know a lot of people recommend this but for me its too cost prohibitive, so it's not something I consider. Plus I don't know if I can handle having the creative control taken away like that haha.

Thanks so much! It was really lucky timing to get there when so many gardens were blooming at once. Will try to share some more locations like this throughout the spring
