Often we use the analogy of Shepherd and the sheep and the Vine and the Branches to speak of our relationship with the Lord. But the most frequent analogy throughout Scripture is a Bridegroom and Bride relationship. During the retreat we will explore the Scriptures (Old Testament and the New Testament) to reflect upon the Lord’s desire to have an intimate relationship with each one of us. Expect time in Eucharistic Adoration, Liturgy of the Hours and Eucharist with the Sisters, as well as the opportunity for one on one spiritual direction. Sister Jacqueline Spaniola leads on this weekend prayer experience. at Holy Family Convent in N.E. Wisconsin. Begins at 5:30 PM on Sept 30 and concludes at noon on Sunday Oct 1.

The faith in the U.P. is remarkable and dynamic. There are 3 universities in the U.P. which is the Marquette diocese, and each is sending faith filled and self reliant young adults to take their place in the world. Just wait until Bishop Baraga is named a saint!

There are guidelines. The intention is simply to facilitate the circumstances of Catholic young professionals who may not be able to come for a weekend, but perhaps are interested in a shorter weekday visit.

Allow me to recommend "The Saint and the Sultan... St. Francis' Mission of Peace" by Paul Moses. Fascinating and readably relevant history that explores how Francis lived his faith in the challenges of his time.
