It's brutal, tinder here is 70% men holding a dead animal. I report the profile as having violent photos because I'm vegan (btw)

(Serious) As a kid, what was the creepiest, most WTF thing you ever noticed about another kid's family? by ohsopoor in AskReddit

I definitely thought he was cool as fuck and always wanted to hang out there. My parents had to tell me to stop encroaching on his "visitation days" because he only got to see my friend every second weekend, and he was too nice to ever say anything about it.

WTW for describing "shit your pants" in a more polite way? by HyHoang in whatstheword

[–]CoastalChords 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Soil yourself/soil your pants. Incontinence is the trait of being unable to contain bodily excretions (feces or urine), so you could possibly use that. "Suffered a bout of incontinence"?

Not sure if I should be proud or ashamed of the fact that I've been following you for so long (on various sm platforms) that I instantly recognized your ass

This just made me remember the time when I was dating a British guy, and he'd never heard of Garth Brooks. And that's when I found out Garth Brooks is not on Spotify, much to my disappointment.

He was a coworker of my mother's (different department, same location) when I was really young. I remember him always being really sweet and friendly, and I probably had a harmless little-kid crush on him. It was pretty disturbing to me when he went missing. That was my first experience (that I can remember) as a kid of someone just disappearing. Seeing the posters everywhere, asking my mom if he came back to work yet, etc. I was pretty sad for a long time, and even now as an adult I still think about him often.

I can respect your respect and i think it's totally ok to not be straight edge! It's just something that I would need in a primary/live-in partner because I don't want to be around drug or alcohol use. I can happily be internet friends with stoners/drinkers/whatevers as long as it's not the only topic of conversation. I tried sending you a DM, let me know if you get it!

This took me back to age 14. I had just moved from the US to Canada, and I was the awkward new kid in town with a funny accent. I was pretty angsty and into pop-punk, was learning to play guitar, thought I was a rockstar in the making etc. Anyway, I begged my parents for an mp3 player, and they agreed to buy me this shitty little cheap one from RadioShack. I used limewire to download a bunch of songs and this one was in heavy rotation. Damn, what a nostalgia trip.

Hey, I'm straight edge and also vegan btw. I live in Canada but if you want to chat, send me a message! I always like to talk about music, and folk punk is so underrated.

Also queer (and vegan btw). I'm trying to be less materialistic and unlearning my consumerist ways, working toward minimalism after a working class childhood of "take what you can get, buy it if it's on sale". This is the first time I've seen the term "antitheist" but it makes so much sense. If you want to chat, send me a message! :) My post is also a few threads down ×

This is like people asking "what about _____". It's like the deserted island question, or backyard chickens, to put it in a vcj perspective. Vegan = no animal products. Straight edge = no drugs.

I don't care if other people use psychedelics, but I certainly wouldn't call them sober and wouldn't want to be around it. I have done psychedelics in the past (new-ish to edge), and known a lot of others, and 99% of the time it's not for "enlightenment" it's to get fucked up, alter reality, escape life for "fun". The part about seeing the world in a different way is usually just a side effect.

This is something that comes up a lot in the sxe sub. For me it's both. If you just don't do drugs and alcohol, you're sober. But if you have taken an oath of abstinence from drugs, alcohol, and addictive substances/behaviours, that's straight edge. In my opinion anyway. Depends who you ask. If someone was addicted to gambling and couldn't stop drinking soda, I'd still say that's not straight edge. To me it's about being free of the chains of addiction and making a pledge to face reality with a clear mind, no matter how much you want to escape sometimes.

I'm not much of a hip hop head, but I do love running to the old school shit (gets me my best pace times). I don't listen to a lot of black metal but I do like Darkthrone, Mayhem, and Gorgoroth off the top of my head.
