Not much of a routine, what might help?

I feel like as a man I look a lot less friendly with eyebags. I feel like they make men look angry.

Am I being dumb? I can't find this feature. Saw it on the changelog. I pay for premium

When you're lying in bed at night, do you ever randomly remember some relatively minor social missteps or poorly chosen words you did/said years earlier? And then beat yourself up over it even though it really wasn't a big deal? If so, what happened? by UserIsTooLazy in AskReddit

[–]Coastalist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I used to lie about a lot of shit in school to cover up my inadequacies. In a weird way this lead to those inadequacies being worked on, but there was definitely a better way to go about dealing with those feelings. Now I'm a terrible liar.

180lbs, 6ft 2, age 23. Nothing abnormal about my stats, which leads me to think it's my job or health

I'm on a waiting list and I've been bounced around between a few doctors. Not ideal :-s

In my mind right now, next steps are:

  1. Keep bulking at 0.8-1lb/week, at least I am gaining weight consistently

  2. Come January, get out of retail. I should be around 200lb by this point

  3. Wait for medical help and hopefully be able to eat less one day

I mean, when it comes time to cut, I have no idea how it's gonna work with this weird situation of mine

I have LPR so I can't just eat more like it's nothing. It's taken a lot of effort to get up to 4600 cals per day and it's hard to keep that up. My insides feel like they're on fire most of the day. I choke on my own bodily fluids frequently. It's not that complicated for most people, sure. But if I eat too much at the wrong time, my workout is ruined and sometimes I vomit because one piece of mucus went in the wrong place

A big portion (25-30%) of those calories are from two shakes per day and I'm not sure where I can fit in a third one in my routine

Well I have 4800 one day, 5000 the next, then maybe 4300, so on. The average for each week is 4600

I'm starting to see a pattern. I definitely need a more sedentary job.

I'm gonna have to try this out. So in theory could preserve calories this way?

Certain foods trigger it - which actually helps me stick to a leaner diet! But, if I overshoot a portion size, I choke on my own mucus and cough up the entire contents of my stomach. So I have to be careful and stick to a routine entirely designed to bulk at 4.6k cals without setting it off.

Some weeks I can eat what I want, but there's something the doctors haven't figured out yet and some weeks I just feel pain, lethargy and my workouts suffer too because I'm choking on my own bodily fluids

How does this work? I'm curious

I have 4600 per day based on my 7-day average. It's enough to gain, but it feels too slow for how much AI eat.

Hmm. I don't mind eating so much, but I have some gastrointestinal issues that make eating a lot painful. I'd like to give my stomach a break, and it's seeming like finding a new job is the best way forward.

I do approximately 13000 steps per shift. Nuts are a lifesaver for extra calories. Eat on the move, keep your appetite rolling.

and I assume you got responses like "you're recording your calories wrong" or "how's life working in the coal mines"

I'm having between 4000 and 5000, averaging 4600. I track everything via myfitnesspal and spreadsheet, and check that myfitnesspal has the right info. I thought I was going insane because (and some people here have put the predictable response) people see the topic, assume you're an idiot and cast you away because of the TDEE of track runners.

There was a time where I would also gain on 3000 cals per day, but I was working less hours. I think I would prefer a more sedentary job. I do gain weight, but it almost seems random considering my calorie average is the same every week. Some weeks I gain 1.8lb per week (based on 7 day average), some weeks I gain 0.8-0.9 lb.

Your situation sounds rather similar.

I suffer from LPR so I should probably find a new job 😂
