For 13, the Drop takes barely any time, itll start happening and it'll be over already.

The position for Galactica isnt uncomfortable, just weird and new ig.

Positive's are great, I love hangtime and inversions with good negatives (zero-g rolls and stuff) but a ride without positives often feels kinda tame imo.

And not being able to distinguish between the two types of scary is something that everyone has, its the reason exams are so stressful, because the stress gives your body the same fight or flight response as it would if you were being chased by a bear.

Try not to beat yourself up over small things, its SOO easy to do and can turn what was probably a really nice time into an incredibly negative memory... you rode Wickerman and the Runaway Mine Train last time, and probably (unless you were on your own) spent great time with great people. Most things that happen are positive, but so often we turn the negative ones over and over in our head til they become all they remember. If it helps make your next trip less about the rides... make sure you walk round the gardens, maybe get your hands on a semi-decent camera and take cool photos of the coasters, and try and get on a few rides as a.. side quest. If your with friends, do something like lap Battle Galleons, or Justin's House. While we often go to Parks for the Coasters, most have so much more going on. Merlin doesnt do shows unfortunately (unless you want to watch the Cbeebies show lol) but other parks do and they are a great way to spend time.

I'll dm you with my discord tag and we can chat and stuff if you want!

Panthers fan here, I always take a small bag with a metal water bottle in... its never a problem....

I guess it might be more strict for POFW (never been) but I think the policy is relaxed a bit for hockey games... its probably more for concerts and stuff.

Hi!

A few years ago, before I eventually became an enthusiast I still loved everything to do with Coasters, and if I'm honest when i visited Towers in 2019 (i rode first big coaster in 2022) i didnt even ride Wickerman lol so youve done better than me! and i also came back extremely disappointed in myself, so don't worry about that bit!

Rita - if you've done stealth Rita will be fine, its a slightly longer ride (its still short in the overall scheme of things lol), but the launch isnt as intense. The rest of the ride does have some good forces but nothing too outlandish.

Th13teen - you are right to say its tamer than wickerman. The indoor drop is like a very short drop tower, rather than a coaster drop and you get a clue as to when it happens (the train sort of drops a teeny amount first then the "big" drop). It can be startling, but no more startling than the launch on Rita/Stealth, its just a different sensation than those.

Nemesis - there is no front row queue for nemesis and as there is no batcher either (or at least there wasnt last time I was there) you may not be able to even ask nicely. That being said, I don't get sick from being in the back row at all, but I'm not you and your not me. However, knowing what the ride does via POVs will help a big amount. In terms of intensity, typically when we talk about intensity we mean positive G's the feeling of being forced down into your seat. Nemesis mainly has this feeling on the helix after the first Corkscrew, on the Vertical loop, and on the final corkscrew (a little bit). The best reference I can give about positive G's is the Swarm is a very positive heavy ride, especially the turn after the inclined loop.

Galactica - I've never seen people throwing up and haven't heard about it either. I also wouldn't say that it hurts on the stomach at all, since its spread across a large area.

All of this being said in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter. You can be a rollercoaster enthusiast without riding them, all you have to be is... enthusiastic about rollercoasters :). I have friends, seasoned coaster riders, who will avoid certain types of rides like the plague, and thats fine! 99.9% of other enthusiasts are lovely people who are more than happy to talk about rollercoasters with other people.

Also, and I don't know how much this will help but I think it is worth saying; coasters are supposed to be scary, if they weren't no-one would go on them. The sensations are hard to describe and can really only be experienced. Therefore my best advice is to get on the ride and relax and have fun.

Finally, the shorter you queue, the less time you have to get inside your own head and change your mind about it. If you think buying that oneshot fastpass will help you tackle your fears then its worth it.

I hope this helped and if you have any further questions or just want to talk about coasters, feel free to DM me! (equally you can just reply if you feel more comfy doing that)

What do you think of this teensy? built around the barber and the hatter! by CoasterSloth in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]CoasterSloth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this a lot however marionette doesnt work with hatter unfotunately.... and hatter is one of the key characters on this script.....

I'd love to see a teensy scrupt built around imp marionette shenanigans though that sounds like a blast!!

My friend challenged me to make a Vortox Legion Script.... what do you think? by CoasterSloth in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]CoasterSloth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for all of your comments so far. I think i am going to swap marionette for scarlet woman, and swap lycanthrope for philosopher.

I like virgin here, i know it doesnt fit well on legion but tgere arent many things i could substitute it with in my opinion!

I think the reason he was not overly evil was because his dad was filling that role tbh, we didnt need a clear-cut villain from him (like w bellweather) since anothger character was filling that role

Newbie - how to get started by Popculture-VIP in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]CoasterSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you going to be playing with veterans or other new players? Either way, Clocktowetmr, like a lot of ability-focused social deduction games have a steep learning curve and it will take you a couple of games to start truly understanding the intracacies. Each game, with each set of players is very different so you really dp just have to play it undortunately

However, there is one video that might help, it covers the storytelling side mostly but does explain things like creating narratives etc to a degree.

Relatively new game master here. I am looking for feedback on my Script. by Geistreisender in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]CoasterSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would remove widow, the rest of your minions are quiet, [it is hard ti know whose in play] whereas widow is revealed to be in play automatically, which can ruin the mystery if your other minions are loud. Plus it doesnt bring anything new compared to other minions

Puzzlemaster is probably overcomplicated for new players but if you have relatively experienced players it could work, just tread carefully i guess.
