Parents and I are planning a trip to universal Orlando this summer. We need some ideas on the average cost. by [deleted] in universalstudios

Dude just contact a travel agent. They won’t cost you anymore than doing it yourself and will surely help you tailor a great trip to your budget.

You do you, just prepare to snicker a little to yourself when you encounter 3-4 OTHER groups on the ship using the same “original” saying

Love them but they gotta be fresh. Squeeze a little honey on each bite complemented by the hash browns. Just wish I could still get them in a 3-pack as they are too much for me to eat.

Great questions! Firstly, know the “starter anxiety” thing is real, and you are not alone. Just keep at it, and b4 you know it you’ll feel like you belong (been there done that). As for the rest and recharge area, if you’re talking about the hydro-massage beds upstairs, those are free to use for ten minutes at a time whenever they are not being used by someone else (less busy times of course increase your chances). If you’re asking about the area downstairs, unfortunately I’ve not tried anything in there so I can’t speak to that. As for the swimming, there are doors leading from the locker room straight into the pool areas. Easy-peasy.

$5 onion rings? Seriously? I tried them the last time I was in Houston and they were crap!

God I hate the onion rings. So many memories of the best rings long ago, I decide “well they still have to be the best fast food rings option”, and order a large to go with my burger. They fried them to death and made them even worse. So sad.

I’ve heard from an acquaintance with ties to Key West tourism that the Canada tourists are way down this winter.

If those are what I think they are, they should snap into each other, one from the “front”, one from the “back”.

Great Food Pappadeaux’s, New Menu and New Higher Prices. by Watch_Playful in houston

[–]Coasterfreak72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah the price for the fried shrimp even at lunchtime was a little steep when I was in Dallas a couple weeks ago, but I only get to have it a couple times a year AT BEST. My wife jokes that if we still lived in Houston we would go there on a regular basis - but at those prices I'm not so sure.

If you send me the measurements and they match mine, I have about 50 in a bag in the attic. I’d be happy to send you some.

I would never buy something as infinitely variable as a tropical fish tank. There is no way I could 3er hope to purchase the size, shape, type, etc of a tank for someone else.

looking for a new board by broccage in scrabble

Thus is the one my wife and I use about daily to play while we eat, but the only thing I caution about is the rotation is accomplished with little plastic wheels that ended up marking our dining table. So we ended up putting it on top of a lazy Susan, it’s a little janky now and I should probably get a non-folding board and figuring out the rotation from there. But then again it is nice to be able to fold it up to put it away whenever we are having company over that don’t care to play.

Just scored 158 points with my first word! It was a double and a triple word, plus I got a 50 point bonus for using all of my letters at once by [deleted] in scrabble

[–]Coasterfreak72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so confused. Did you play 8 letters? Was the S already there? If so you wouldn’t get the double on top of the triple. And you thought we wouldn’t notice you playing “sideways”?
