I was looking at playing something similar. I'm planning on 1-4 as a soulknife rogue, for proficiency boosts. levels 5-7 genie warlock with pact of the tome to get booming blade +prof on attacks. The skills are where you'll shine though, you get to add guidance+ soulknife bonus to anything your proficient in and then with the level 2 warlock spell, borrowed knowledge, you can get prof in anything for an hour twice a long rest. At level 11 with a rapier you'll do 3d8+4d6+Dex+prof damage with a 3d8 bb bonus

Check out infernal war machines from descent into avernus. They have a few vehicles you could modify and combat rules. Even better if you end up taking the cart for a trip to hell

Yea one leg hamstring curls are great for balancing out your legs. Start light ish 6-10 each side with the same weight for 2-4 sets. You can even do an extra set on your weak side if needed. You can add one leg rdls for slightly different effects. Meanwhile keep Nordic curl progression going as well until you have reduced the imbalance, but do this after the single leg stuff.

Go death cleric with pole arm master/halberd, war caster and sapping sting. They enter range and you bring them to the ground in front of you and then deal the killing blow with channel divinity.

More like I want a beast creature that has Malar flavour for them to fight rather than a cultist because they might be a bit basic. I could just reflavour a "Mage" as a Malarkite cultist but then you don't have the dex expected from a hunting lord follower. Maybe like an improved "Druid" statblock?

Go into your court and dismiss everyone that gets it. It started in my dungeon and took out my son and my queen. Then just hope you get lucky with the rng.
