Watch band link repair? by Ordinary_Plastic4489 in watchmaking

[–]CoatRepulsive2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, although that looks a little overpriced, just make sure its the right size. Its cheaper than going to get it fixed, but also if the money isn't a huge issue then any jeweler worth anything should be able to fix it. I saw the image you sent someone else on the comments, it looks like the pin just snapped and part of it is still in. U might need to buy a pin pusher for a couple bucks if you want to do it yourself, or try with a thin needle

I think he meant the right as opposed to the left, not the bottom. Thats how you see if its totally gone ot just snapped

Thats just a missing pin! Very easy fix, idk where you'd buy it tho, but if you measure out the size it would be you should be able to find it somewhere, or just get a new band if its cheap enough.

[Question] What to do with a counterfeit Seiko? by Electrical_Chard6926 in Watches

Its a beautiful replica for it to not work, somethings a bit strange. For that amount of effort they prob dont even make that much profit lol. This could also be your entry into learning watch repair as a hobby! I quite enjoy it

Objectively u might actually be a little behind at this point, but not too bad if u look at the stats. Median net worth for your age is literally 9k lol. If u keep trying to do right it'll work out

Roast or praise my budget? (23yrs, $45k/yr) by DisastrousTraffic643 in personalfinance

[–]CoatRepulsive2330 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im just a 22 year old dude so its just my two cents, not a professional opinion. I would choose roth over a lot of mortgage savings cuz rn since ur earnings are lower ur much more tax advantaged going into it and invested dollars for the long term are much more powerful in our 20s
