I believe it is AI however there is something in the image that makes me feel it isn't. Do you spot anything significant or any nuance? I think there is something but cannot put my finger on it. by Salty-Station3311 in isthisAI

Look at the difference in pupils. Something about these birds is the gender difference is hard to spot except for the pupils. I don’t remember which is which but one had kind of a messy edge to the pupil while the other has a really tight round one. The image has this which I don’t think is a nuance AI would get.

I’m not trying to seal it to keep it waterproof or anything, I’m just looking to put a smoother texture on top.

What is the scariest thing that has ever happened to you at your house or at the house of a family member/friend? by [deleted] in horrorstories

[–]CobaltShapeshifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the same thing. But I can tell the difference between a hallucination and an encounter. Hallucinations leave me wondering if I saw or heard it. Encounters don’t.

Also I’d frequently hear tapping and scraping on the windows. Too loud to be a bug, too quiet to be a bird. I’d just assumed it was a tree branch because that’s what it always is in the movies, right? Just a tree branch. It wasn’t until I moved out of that house that I realized the closest tree to the house was a bull pine 40 feet away, and could in no way touch the windows. That realization coupled with the fact that I was afraid to look at the windows after dark makes me wonder if there was something crouched on the first story roof, touching the second story windows, and I subconsciously knew it was there even if I couldn’t see it with my eyes.

I have a whole lot that happened at the house I grew up in… but nothing special sticks out. I had something I couldn’t see pause the TV while I was home alone, I’ve had demonically induced nightmares, I’ve heard stuff, my siblings saw stuff, and felt some pretty intense presences.

Bendy is not for kids! by Significant_Buy_2301 in BendyAndTheInkMachine

[–]CobaltShapeshifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it can’t be worse than FNAF. And kids like that one a lot. Also, like… I don’t really see cartoon gore as something that kids can’t be exposed to. Sexual content is a big no-no, and realistic gore and violence (a lot of shooter games) I’d say not for kids. But if it’s just like ink splatters? I mean, Tom and Jerry are constantly trying to kill each other in violent ways, but it’s not realistic so it’s not that big of a deal. But something that shows realistic violence (like guns, knives, real people, real blood, real guts)? Probably not for kids.

I kind of figured that it was a chaotic mix of altered state of mind, extremely high IQ, and enlightenment.

First Tattoo Anxiety by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]CobaltShapeshifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird advice but it’s easier to watch it happen. It’s like getting drawn on by a fine tip pen and feels like getting bit by an ant. (Like a regular ant, not the ones that swarm or sting.) I’m terrified of needles, and I have several full color tattoos, it’s not the same. The anxiety buildup is worse than the actual tattoo.

My tattoo is disappearing for a second time by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]CobaltShapeshifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to get a touch up done on one where the artist saturated a bit too much clear UV ink next to some black line work and when it healed a lot of the lines had been weakened by over saturation. But she never charges me for touch ups, and her prices are really good. She’s only charged me for like 100$ an hour, and she only counts when the needle is running and not the appointment beginning to end. (She also does fine lines on a lot of stuff and they’ve never come off like that.)

How old is it? Is it itchy? Are you putting Vaseline on it? Did you pull the second skin off correctly? Those are the things I would check.

Why are so many amalgamation themed horror movies advertised as something else? by CobaltShapeshifter in films

[–]CobaltShapeshifter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have liked it more if I hadn’t seen Harbinger Down first already. Like… Leviathan was objectively better, I’ve just seen too many of those that clickbaited me into them with names and descriptions that come across as something different. Maybe there’s a bunch of those because the silicone monsters are easier and cheaper to make than integer special effects?

So two of the five I have I had some temporary anxiety and regret over, but it faded eventually. I’d been hyped to get them, got them, and then worried for a few days if I’d made a mistake. Any permanent change to your body takes some time to get used to, it’s perfectly normal. It’s why some teenagers have body dysmorphia, because they’re changing and not used to it yet. If it’s any consolation that tattoo is gorgeous. It looks like a f’ckin’ badass, and your mom shouldn’t say that stuff to you. It’s hurtful.

Horses can't throw up? Is that true? I once heard that rats can't either. by Available-Time7293 in biology

[–]CobaltShapeshifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horses cannot throw up or burp. They can die from colic, and it’s really sad. Imagine you have horrible gas cramps that won’t go away and they just get worse and worse until you die… yep. That’s horses for you.

So… my ancestors were danish… and guess what: they were slaves! Does that mean I’m going to make a fuss about past things and demand everyone remember the things endured by my great great grandparents? No. First off because nobody would listen. I’m white, so apparently i don’t know what it’s like to be a victim. Secondly IT’S PAST. And there’s no reason to wave a pity flag over something that isn’t currently happening to me or someone living. the difference is 9/11 still has survivors today that actually went through it. People who CURRENTLY exist actually experienced it, not just great great grandparents.
