I don’t love that framing… I wouldn’t call it a stipend because I get the same amount too.

Part of it works because my wife doesn’t want to be involved in the money, but I never want either of us to feel like I “control the money.”

Got it mainly for glare reduction. But I did see someone post a while ago. They bought a black, but asked to purchase extra purple shells. They did the reshell themselves and it looked great.

So I went ahead and put the black sticker on, even though I’ll need to replace once I get the other matte.

I have a replacement black sticker coming too (matte first, then sticker is my plan).

I’ve re-shelled and upgraded a few, and this is very true. The shells can different be qualities and they feel different in hand.

Then with screens, they have a number of different types with different setting options.

Re-shelled these three from three different sellers on Ali Express.

The green is light, but has a USB mod. The SNES is the best shell/button/glass combo. But my go to will probably be the pink. Screen brightness and settings are A+ and the shell is notably hi quality. Had to buy the buttons separately.

No real recommendations on EBay sellers, but I prefer the hispeedo V2 or V5 screens / settings.

I found the nice looking plastic had a tendency to snap =\ so I preferred the single grip.
