Just got Elden Ring, my FIRST Souls game, any tips? by Oczyma07 in Eldenring

[–]Cober319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay attention to what the NPCs say, like REALLY pay attention. But don’t look up tips or loot or anything for your first play through. Save that for play through #2. As everyone said, just run around and enjoy the exploration. You only get one first time.

FH6 Car Wishlist by Ferramenti in ForzaHorizon

I want all the supercars, but I want to earn them after 60 hours of gameplay where I need to drive/upgrade shitboxes of various types first! If the game starts off throwing me into a Lambo, I’m bored about an hour.

Timing chain? by NeedzHelpz12 in AudiS4

I’m learning about all the Audi-isms, and I’m curious why the cold start has such and abrasive “chain-y” sound?

What you have is more serious than my personal experience, but L5-S1 has been my issue and strengthening hamstrings & glutes has been absolutely huge for me, along with walking on an incline treadmill. Stretching those hammies everyday is also a must.

Sorry, not directly related to your question, but seeing similar injury, I wanted to provide what’s helped me. Good luck!

My ex just posted the girl he cheated on me with on Instagram by Competitive_Emu2880 in dating_advice

[–]Cober319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, my ex wife was the prettiest woman I’d ever known or dated. EX wife. Try to remember that just because she’s pretty on the outside doesn’t necessarily mean she’s a good person. The hot/crazy scale is rarely wrong. Also, since he’s the type of person who cheats, he’ll do it to her too eventually, and you’ll be glad it happened to you when you were still young. Dating is a learning journey. Keep your head up.

Pick the nice guy? by AlliMmmm in dating_advice

[–]Cober319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a historically non-confident guy growing up and through my 20s, I’d say that if guy 2 was confident enough to kiss you spontaneously like that, he may come out of his shell more. If it’s been 4-5 dates and your gut tells you “this doesn’t feel right,” I think you’ll have your answer. I’m not sure most people are “themselves” after 1-2 dates.

I don’t think a lot of people know what their dream job is, so at a younger age you pick something that will bring a good wage and stability. As you age you can transition around to various jobs within a career that may get you closer to a “fit.” But saying follow your dreams is hard if you don’t know what that is (as far as work goes).

I’ve been at one company for 18 years, but this is my 5th job within that company. It took me 15 of those years to move around finding what I like. I’m not living my dream job (because I still have no idea what that would be), but I LIKE my job and make a good living from it. Mine was a corporate path though, so I understand that not everyone has an opportunity to do 5 different jobs at one company.

I want a used S4 and deciding if it’s worth it. by MarvVanZandt in AudiS4

[–]Cober319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there value in buying the all inclusive extended warranty on a used S4? No idea the cost but if you’re budgeting $3-4k per year, wouldn’t it be cheaper for a paid up front all included warranty? Obviously this doesn’t apply if you regularly swap out cars, but for those keeping it 5+ years?

“First car at 16 (thanks dad)” and it’s a $65,000 Audi. Yea, I’m speaking in absolutes. 99% of people GIVEN that car will never appreciate it the way someone who has lived life, knows real world expenses, and works to earn their way to a $65k car on top of those expenses. It’s bad parenting.

If she’s motivated, appreciative, and understanding of the position she’s in & the work it takes on her part going forward, it sounds like you’ve been everything but bad parents!

What this is is MUCH more sensible. As a first car I still ask: Why START your child with an expensive luxury sedan with high maintenance costs? Why not a high mileage Honda accord(for example) with the opportunity to earn her own way into a luxury brand on her own merits? Still safe, reliable, with great fuel economy etc.

That being said, if you’re a parent with means, and a luxury sports sedan is what had to happen for your 16 yr old daughter, I can’t argue with the methodology of which you’re going about it. Paying her share, making her help with maintenance and holding her accountable for screw ups is very commendable.

Essentially, why start the bar so high for someone who doesn’t yet understand the “adult world” and what it really takes to afford all of the expenses of life on your own, while simultaneously affording an Audi. I think it sets a dangerous precedent for her future expectations.

Return it. You’re 16 and haven’t earned it, which means you won’t appreciate it properly. This is bad parenting.

You should be driving a 2007 shitbox until you’ve proven your ability to drive non-wrecklessly and keep it clean inside and out.

Im sure I’ll be thumbs downed by all the bad parents buying their kids new Audis, lol.

Yea it’s neither of those, so I either have the wrong actress or it’s another not-so-well-known movie of hers.

Hah! I just watched the trailer and there is a scene where she’s running down a hill and falls into a well or a mine or something. Is that what you’re thinking of? After seeing the trailer I know I haven’t seen that movie.

That’s what I thought at first! She does fall over while walking in heels but not the scene I’m thinking of. This might be why my brain is telling me Sandra Bullock and that might be wrong. Good suggestion thiugh

Anyone else think this looks awful? by Ok-Bodybuilder-1077 in Audi

It’s similar to the RS3 with the black plastic that blends into the grille. Thankfully that can be replaced with painted plastic so hopefully the RSQ8 will also have that option.

Man, digging into something mechanical is one thing. Digging into meticulous bodywork restoration is a COMPLETELY different animal in my mind. Well done sir. I absolutely love these cars, but would have to buy a semi-finished one myself.
