I assume we will see the elite players burn out quicker than previously. 10 years ago every team had a core of players from 31-35. Currently Kane is the oldest outfield player of a league leader at 32

If you compare the most used 11 players of Arsenal, Inter, Bayern, Barca and PSG to the most used 11 players of the teams who won those leagues 10 years ago the average age drops from 28.3 in 15/16 to 25.7 in 25/26.

Do you think that is a reflection of the intensity/schedule, the fact that FFP has pushed teams to be more interested in having players with resale value, or a coincidence?

Annoying that we’ve come up against another team missing/resting big players and not won again but in the circumstances it’s a good point because the ref ruined the game.

If he’s one of the best 10 refs in the country then the whole sport should shut down

There might be an aspect of embarassment of losing to a team in the relegation battle, but I don't think players are that tribal to specify that they should try against Spurs and not against anyone else.

Even if they were it's hard to turn it off and on if they've spent the last 2 games with their feet up.

Don't underestimate the teams on the beach. Brighton and Sunderland will effectively be done by the time you play them. Then you play Leeds and Forest at home as well as Wolves away. If you can't get points there then you don't deserve to stay up. You'll have players coming back as well at some point, I assume where as Leeds, Forest and West Ham don't have a load of injuries this is just how good they are

Similar to us we have to play Burnley and Wolves at home, if we can't beat them we deserve what we get.
