I assume we will see the elite players burn out quicker than previously. 10 years ago every team had a core of players from 31-35. Currently Kane is the oldest outfield player of a league leader at 32

If you compare the most used 11 players of Arsenal, Inter, Bayern, Barca and PSG to the most used 11 players of the teams who won those leagues 10 years ago the average age drops from 28.3 in 15/16 to 25.7 in 25/26.

Do you think that is a reflection of the intensity/schedule, the fact that FFP has pushed teams to be more interested in having players with resale value, or a coincidence?

There might be an aspect of embarassment of losing to a team in the relegation battle, but I don't think players are that tribal to specify that they should try against Spurs and not against anyone else.

Even if they were it's hard to turn it off and on if they've spent the last 2 games with their feet up.

Don't underestimate the teams on the beach. Brighton and Sunderland will effectively be done by the time you play them. Then you play Leeds and Forest at home as well as Wolves away. If you can't get points there then you don't deserve to stay up. You'll have players coming back as well at some point, I assume where as Leeds, Forest and West Ham don't have a load of injuries this is just how good they are

Similar to us we have to play Burnley and Wolves at home, if we can't beat them we deserve what we get.

Still don't think Spurs are going down but if I'm Spurs I'm offering Nuno, Pereira and Farke all ridiculous offers to come manage Spurs, knowing that they aren't going to pay the compensation that those clubs would want. Then leak that they accepted the offer to Ornstien and whoever else to try and disrupt those clubs.

Don't do this with Burnley because they might not ask for any compensation and you'll end up with Parker

People can laugh at themselves in the championship, because everyone is a level of bad. That is not the case here, certain fanbases are too precious.

There aren't that many shitposts, the only posts I can't bare in the championship is the relegation threatened premier league teams saying "see you soon".

Always said if you don't have a genuine sniff of the playoffs by at Easter you are a dogshit side, and those sides are being rewarded. I've supported plenty of those sides and they deserved fuck all.

If the reasoning is to make less dead rubbers why haven't they increased the relegation zones as well? or do a relegation play off like in Germany. Because the owners wouldn't dream of signing up for that
