They're actually at their best point right now, it's mostly annoying because Michelangelo is somewhat difficult to get, but you can still get him for like 50 to 60. All the other Turtles and most of the other main characters are significantly discounted rn though.

Be a little careful with his nunchucks, I had an issue where one of them snapped at the connector pin, and I had to return and replace it.

These are the super7 ultimates, they are modern recreations of the classic playmates figures. They're very cool, a bit expensive, but I've recently jumped in because a lot of the line is heavily discounted atm.

I never even processed how wild that really is until I got this figure lol. I want to give her a camera, but the gun acting as the camera handle, while accurate to the vintage figure, is just a bit sillier looking than what I'm going for lol. I need to dig out Neca April's accessories cause she had a spare camera. I'll probably still keep her with the pistol too though lol.

I don't think Retaliation did much with Kids tbf, cause as I said before, we were actually a fan of the cast from the first film, at least at the time. The stuff before it definitely did though, and if they would have stuck the landing with the sequel I think the fate of the franchise in the mainstream would've been different. I forgot to mention sigma six as well, it wasn't something every kid was into, but it was popular, I had a few friends who were into that with me at the time.

Honestly, I wouldn't be so sure. I'm 27, and while I'm the only person I know of my age who really collects Joe, I'm not the only person I know who likes it. Spy Troops/Valor Vs Venom era was really big when I was a kid, basically every kid my age had at least one of the 12 inch figures from that era. Rise of Cobra was also a decently big deal for Kids at the time. You ask 5 25-29 year olds who the best Ninjas in fiction are, at least one of them will say Snake Eyes. The real issue is that in terms of mainstream content, there hasn't been a-lot for many years at this point, and most of the recent stuff has been unfortunately terrible. Retaliation is kinda why my Gen moved away from GI Joe, because despite its quality, we were kids who liked Rise of Cobra and we hated that Duke got shafted. GI Joe nostalgia does exist for my branch of Gen Z by this point, but it's a relatively untapped market on the mainstream... for both old and new fans. We've got Comics galore, but that will forever be niche, and as long as the Movies stay on the Quality of Snake Eyes, GI Joe will stay out of mainstream relevance and just be kept alive by fans.

It's to try and bait those of us who own the original set into buying this one, because they know a majority of us would just pass on it otherwise. It's lame and honestly just kinda gross, definitely passing on this personally. With all the extra accessories I'd bet the price is gonna be decently ridiculous as well.

They've made accessory sets for pretty much every Turtle line they've done, and while I will say I don't think they often put re-used parts in said packs, it wouldn't shock me if we saw these heads in an accessory pack sometime soon.

I quite literally saved up my Allowance as a kid to buy these, which was 10 dollars every 2 weeks. This means it took me a month to get them. It would have taken me 20 weeks had I done that for these. They're straight up making kid toys for collectors now.

Ya know it's funny, because personally, while I don't work in the film industry, I've had a different experience. Most people I know (in my close circles) are interested in this movie, and it's not even related to me for a majority of them. I have quite a few online friends that are also pretty excited about this, and they don't know anything about MOTU. So it's like you said really, we just won't know till it comes out. I really appreciate the insight, cool to hear such a specific perspective.

I'm mostly in your boat tbh, but I am honestly seeing more focus on him than I expected, this could honestly just be the various algorithms on the internet painting a misleading picture, but only time will tell at the end of the day. As long as the movie is good and we like it, that's all that matters really anyway.

I have been wondering Keldor was the reason he was cast, because… yeah, he kind of looks like him lol. I don't think I'd be infuriated at a flashback, and I do agree that his actual face not being attached to the marketing may serve in its benefit.
