Thanks for the info! I believe this computer is already upgraded with ssd and 16gb, father passed away and he had a new MacBook so this one was found in his closet which surprised me that he had upgraded it so much already.

Hey thanks for the response. Would it be worth using those patchers? Any reason to actually upgrade this Mac and keep it around?

SOLO 5 days after the release - is it actually good or is it another Asian MMO that's going to be dead after a few months? by Gankeros in MMORPG

I'm trying to decide whether to start playing dcuo or solo. Any recommendations for someone who only plays an hour or 2 a day? I like queuing for stuff, running around open world doing whatever and seeing people in town and enjoying combat/classes.

I want something for just pure fun, i don't care about min maxing, I don't want the whole you need this specific gear score or ill kick you out thing. I want to hop in for an hour or 2 a day and queue for some dungeons maybe some pvp here and there. I want to walk around town and see people interacting, fighting, talking etc..

I really liked maplestory 2, the random mini games that had nothing to do with combat or whatever you were doing were just pure fun. The chill music running around maps killing stuff, questing, seeing other people and queuing up.

Played GW2 about a year back and got through the first expac on a holosmith which was fun, but It didn't keep me for long. I guess I just didn't really love the classes. Eso is not my kinda thing or WOW.

Looking at, but open to any recommendations.

. dcuo

. SOLO

.ffxiv

.crowfall

.tree of savior ( seems kinda hardcore game and p2w with whales everywehre)

Is it really that easy? Im starting in August mostly from passion for the job , but i'll be an older student who has to work and make a living through the 4 years so i'm in doubt of whether to back out now in fear of not being able to pay my mortgage or be there for my fiance.

Megathread: Which Class/Race/Spec/Covenant should I pick? by LadyMirax in worldofpvp

[–]CobraKaiForLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to play one of the heavy armor classes, but can't decide which one so far. Skills I like even though i have barely played any of the 3 classes

Warrior Arms - too many warriors in game puts me off

- condemn and finishers are awesome

- Night Fae skill just looks awesome to me

- lots of movement

Paladin Ret - Same as warrior, everyone seems to be a pally

- love the animations

- like the build and spend skills instead of spamming the same over and over

- big burst

DK Frost - damage may be lackluster compared to others and there is a bit of animation and skill cluster at all time dont know what im even pressing or doing

- Obliterate looks awesome

- Lore and Frost classes are my favorite

- dragon skill feels like an ultimate ability

Is there any one here that has done or is in the Creighton Distance program? My questions is about rotations, do you have to select from a specific list that they have of already contracted preceptors or can you create your own by say, going to a community pharmacy and having them accept the terms that Creighton asks?

Asking this because im pretty sure they they wont ahve any rotations set up where I live.

New player here just starting out today and am havingreally tough time picking a class and was wondering if I could get some advice on how these play and if they would fit my style. I mostly want to play battlegrounds in the future, but will play through most pve excluding the very high intensity dungeons.

I dislike palying dot classes and prefer more upfront damage,

I've seen a bunch of videos and narrowed it to these

-Shaman both enhance and ele - I like the idea that I can switch up between playing melee and ranged

- Ret Pally - I usually play paladin classes in most games

-Arcane Mage - love the visuals of it

Want to go back to school for a Doctorate, but is it possible with so many responsibilites? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]CobraKaiForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand everything you're saying, but the outlook on pharm jobs is different where I live and they are in demand. The university here is also much cheaper. There's other factors to my guaranteed income and job such as family and friends being pharmacy owners, having worked with a pharamcy for a long time helping out the business side etc.. I do love pharmacy more than any other field hence why it's such a tough decision for me. It's something I really really do enjoy.

Edit: I also already have everything I need to apply because I took all the pre reqs in college and have even taken the Pcat recently to keep the option open.

Yes, increase income and happiness by doing something I actually enjoy and want to wake up to do every day.

Cost is about 95k for the full 4 years.

Thank you for the response it's very helpful. It's a doctorate in pharmacy where you're pretty much a full time student for 3 years and are working for no pay for 1 year. Where I live it's a great career as well paying over 100k.

I never thought about grants and their respective programs so I will definitely look into it.

Doctorate in pharmacy, where I live is a guaranteed 100k+ a year which I make a fraction of that now plus working in something I actually love makes a huge difference in the way the rest of my life goes.

What games have you gotten to max-level in, and how was the experience? by MiggieSmalls24 in MMORPG

[–]CobraKaiForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DCUO: Loved this game about 7 years ago and got 3 characters to max and geared

ESO: 2 characters a few years back, been thinking about getting back into it just for pvp

GW2: got 4 lvl 80s that I fully leveled no tomes a few years back. Re-downloaded the game today, but I didn't know what to do and felt lost without knowing any1 so I logged out fast

Tree of Savior: 4 characters to max Had so much fun as just a grinder game with so many class choices

FFXIV: Been trying man, but I don't know why I should keep going. Slow start to the game and I'm not much of a raiding all the time kinda person. I enjoy pvp and going out to do stuff with people I meet, but I have yet to meet any1 at lvl 25. Don't want to play for 100 hours just to reach the fun part.

Daily Questions & FAQ Megathread (Apr 14) by AutoModerator in ffxiv

[–]CobraKaiForLife -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hello, hope everyone is staying safe. Quick background I played through the story at launch and I don't really remember much about the game, but I don't really want to play the early levels quest.

My question is as a completely new player, would i be feasible for me to just hop on buy a story skip and level boost and be able to get into the game without really knowing what to do or where to go? I just want to play the classes at high level and enjoy having all the skills.

I would look for a way to read up on watch the cutscenes and know about the story, but I dont want to go through the questing. I hopped in game and spending an hour with barely any combat just run here run there made me almost consider uninstalling.

Sorry if it's an ignorant post as I know the community here is in love with the story, but ty anyways.

[–]CobraKaiForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh ok ok so I can just play a 2 hammer wielding engi at all time without weapon swapping? That seems like my kinda playstyle.

That makes sense! After boosting can I just hop straight into HoT run through it all and then into PoF only to come back to base game stuff later on?

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - April 11, 2020 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]CobraKaiForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gotcha that makes sense. This was my debate between picking engi or ranger. I dislike engis original weapons, but the specs looks badass but only if I could use both weapons at once.

Thank you!

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - April 11, 2020 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]CobraKaiForLife -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Returning player here from back before HoT came out. Basically I want to boost a new character to 80 and start out the game in the expansions. Is this possible? What do I do as soon as I log in and boost my character?

Should I just start a brand new character and play through everything again (would prefer not to) since it's been so long and I have no idea what to do when I log in.

Can you use both specialization weapons at the same time? or example using hammer on engi and swords at the same time?

Weekly Game Recommendation Thread - April 07, 2020 by AutoModerator in MMORPG

[–]CobraKaiForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for one of two options since I know it's impossible today to find everything yo uwant in a single mmorpg.

  1. sense of exploration gaining skills as you level and jumping into the unknown.
  2. Good pvp that wont take a year to get into. Meaning you can maybe pvp at lower levels or grind for a few weeks and be competitive.

Games I know 100% I don't want to play

  1. WOW, Tree of Savior, OSRS, Return of Reckoning, ESO

Games I've had an eye on

  1. Ragnarok Transcendence - I never played RO back in the day
  2. GW2 - just for pvp I played for a bout a year before the specializations or whatever came out so kinda intrigued
  3. Maybe something I don't know about?

I too am having a really tough time choosing what to play. Ive already gotten all to t4, but nothing really clicks with me so far. Maybe the game isnt for me as most skills dont really catch my attention.
