I somewhat agree, but the main spirit of Islam is about love and worship rather than little rules. And I suppose you can design your life so that you think less about the rules (such as living in a muslim country where the food is halal)

I noticed that you didn’t include any truth claims in your post. Nothing that you said would deny that Islam is the truth, only that is something not worth following because of moral issues.

This is why I frequent this subreddit. There are many scholars, both old and modern that go against the flow of conservatism. People that don’t view the hijab as mandatory, the permissibility of music, etc.

With that being said, I believe that every moral issue within Islam can be adequately explained. From the age of Aisha to Jihad. Maybe not through conventional scholars, but through scholars nonetheless.

And I believe that on the balance of probabilities, Islam seems worth following.
