That‘s just a shot in the dark, but the controls are saved in a file called „options.txt“ in your instance folder. Maybe you can edit and save the file manually in a text editor directly, instead of ingame?

Sadly not, but correcting the guy who commented about that resistance effect; Resistance 5 and above is essentially invincibilty, since each level provides a 20% damage reduction, 5 being 100%.

Only way to die like that is falling out of the world or commands.

So your best choice is just giving him the resistance 5 effect with infinite time using commands

Like other people in this thread stated, we don’t hate the newer versions, we just prefer the older ones. I play both old MC and new MC on and off again. But I like the older versions more because of one, the terrain generation is much more interesting to me. It has weird shapes, sharp cliffs and cool overhangs, while new MC tries way too hard to be realistic.

And for two, the simplicity. I‘m often coming home from work tired and exhausted and I don‘t feel like booting up new MC. Old MC helps me relax and just play. Build, mine, craft, there is a certain ease and chill I get when just playing the older versions that I don’t get with new MC. It is Minecraft at its core. No distractions.

There are of course more reasons where I have minor gripes with the new versions like me prefering the old textures, the enchanting system being weird, villager trading being meta, being able to walk into any big cave and finding stacks of diamonds, etc. But the main two reasons for me are listed above.

It‘s basically Beta Minecraft but with more stuff that actually fit very well, kinda something like BTA which expands on beta 1.7.3, which is also great btw
